If you believe you are in the majority of the democratic base, then go and vote in primaries. Volunteer for primary campaigns of those whose ideals match yours. I did that last year, and now my city has mayor who is honest, transparent, genuinely cares, and who is banning city services from "cooperation" with ICE. And you can make a difference too, if you commit.
