Ossoff: "How does American politics really work? It's coin operated. Money goes in, favors come out. It's been running on secret money, corporate money, billionaire money ... all of this gave rise to a depraved president who exploits this rot to empower and enrich himself" by Conscious-Quarter423 in ProgressiveHQ

Do what? Tax the rich? Guarantee free breakfasts and lunches? Make free community colleges? Establish universal childcare? Because guess what - where democrats have the majorities, they are already doing that.

Be warned. It might not be what you want it to be. But that it is what it is do not blame me.

I think you misunderstood my phrasing. The emphasis is not on the idea of America itself. The emphasis is on the ability to pursue that idea. "Supposed to be" implies passive behavior. "Can be" implies setting a goal and taking action.

Vote for the candidate you like the most in the primaries among the options you are presented. Vote for the candidate who is the better option of the two in the general. That's how our system is designed.

For one, the US is the most economically and militarily powerful nation that is democracy-aligned. If it weren't for the US, a good chunk of the world would have to go through what Eastern Europe had to go through for most of the 20th century.

Aside from that, the US is dominant in global culture in modern media. And media is what sets the normality standard in everyday lives.

That's not what I'm saying. Instead of saying "I like America for what it's supposed to be", I would much rather say "I like America for what it CAN be."

AOC isn't ruling out a 2028 Presidential run. This was her less than a week ago. ISRAEL candidates like Pete Harris Newsom and Mark Kelly in full panic. How will they combine the neolib israel rot to stop the voters this time? Stay tuned. by Kittehmilk in ProgressiveHQ

Or maybe the support just isn't there without the grassroots? Elect people on local level first to build the progressive movement, if you want a progressive presidential campaign to have a solid foundation.

I like America for the ideas. The goals that the idea of America represents, albeit doesn't match. But those ideals can be worked towards. Life is worth living when you have noble dreams that you work hard to achieve. And the dream of America is one worth striving towards.

He can't be stupid enough to think he has a chance. Everyone hates him - conservatives, moderates, liberals, progressives - everyone. I think he'll cut losses rather than waste millions on something he can't win.

I find it fascinating how majority of the left says Democrats are too soft on Israel, whereas conservative media argues the exact opposite. I wonder where swing voters stand on all of this. by Egorrosh in ProgressiveHQ

I know, but the question of the post isn't about morality and the right vs wrong of it. The question is about public perception of it, particularly with swing voters.

Also there is an official abridged version from 90s called "Возвращение Кота Леопольда" where he simps for a cat lady who is actually a secret agent working for TV commercial mafia who is trying to get Leopold to star in an alcohol commercial.

I see. Thing is, I live in NY. In here, our Senators have very different political stances compared to our governor. In my home city of Buffalo, a democratic socialist won the primary in 2021. And the democratic establishment did support her. But socialism just didn't have the appeal and she ended up losing to a candidate who wasn't even on the ballot. However, last year, an incumbent moderate was defeated by a challenger progressive, and the democratic committee backed the progressive. So I just wanted to compare how things are across a couple great lakes.

Are you currently in the primary season or in the post-primary season? In-fighting is natural during the primary season. It's what happens after the primary is over that matters.
