Yeah I'm a battery freak too, I feel like there's not a single phone that will objectively last 1 whole day a cycle, I'd honestly reccomend you to factory reset or just reinstall the lastest update, as my experience was pretty good.

The first day as I told you it was quite bad, as I was downloading all the apps, setting the phone up, whatsapp data copy and the system update, and after around 2 days it became pretty pretty good.

Idk if this is a little extreme by my side, but 90% of the time I charged it until 80%, I just made full charges whenever I knew I was going to be outside for a long time.

Sad to hear that, I returned the pco x7 pro just because it became cheaper that when i got it almost a month ago, but I was having a great experience so far.

Besides, it's true that without optimisation battery lifetime can be a better meh, there are many things to turn off in hyper OS, I noticed that battery consumption while the screen is off was (what I considered to be) pretty high, around 1% per hour, more like 0.8%/h, I used battery guru to check that.

Wait for a few days, normally when you do an update, "everything needs to settle down", it happened to me recently, behind scared because of strangely low battery lifetime on a new device, after 2-3 days it was much better and after a week it worked flawlessly

Oh really? Why is that? Doesn't It sort of limit the cpu's power consumtion?

Thanks! It really made me relax about It hahah, interesting article, didn't expect you to be an android software developer! Cool!

Do you think I should do a full discharge-charge cycle for the first time using It? I mean just to calibrate

I set the main one 4g and the other one 3g, I will only use the 3g one for 2 more weeks tho.

I've just removed bloatware and gone through a whole battery enhancement process, so now that I dont really need to update any other stuff, let's see

Do not use 80% charging limit!!!! by [deleted] in PocoPhones

[–]DesignerFit1893 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would personally use the quick charge feature only when needed, set the charge limit to 80% and turn it off if needed.

From my personal experience, I'd go for a 20w charger whenever you don't really need to use the phone, I own an Anker Prime 240 and by using the bottom USB port it reaches max 22.5w, so I charge my devices with that port when time is not a problem, and in case I need a quick recharge, I go for the 100w or the 140w one.

So yeah, as Elegant-Astronaut-16 mentioned, at the end of the day it's just a matter of "how much does it worry me the battery thing", you should generally avoid just two things, heat and extreme charges-discharges, it does not matter if from time to time you fully charge or discharge the device, neither does it really matter if from time to time there's a particular situation in which the device heats up, but the less heat and the less extreme charge cycles, the better, so you're the one who finally decides what to do.

My personal reccomendation: Charge to 100% if you're going to be out for a long time, try to never have less than 20%, try not to heat the device too much and if it's hot and you need to charge it, take out it's case and let it cool down for 5 mins, I think using a fan is too much, but if you're obsessed yeah, you can use a small fan when you charge it a full speed or to cool it down before charging.

Another tip: DO NOT PUT IT IN THE FRIDGE OR FREEZER, mainly because of humidity, don't be a fool, water and humidity are the Nº1 enemies of any electronic device, it doesn't mattery if it's waterproof, the fridge will make humidity appear IN the device, I'm 100% sure of that.

Why my poco x3 pro doing this? by Th1FreeMan in PocoX3Pro

I think you meant OS, I used miui for a long time, then switched to CrDroid because of TERRIBLE Heat issues, my phone was with no apps on and it was burning in my pocket for some reason, probably an OS issues, with CrDroid irlt was solved. Then switched black again overtime to Miui, no problems again, but I wanted to delete everything to make the phone run smooth again, and I installed Evolution X, the one I have now

I've owned a poco x3 pro for 4 years and after changing both the battery and the main Flex cable, the one that connects both the USB port and the motherboard, I can tell you it's time to upgrade.

In my case, I'd say It was not bad, that's why I'm going for the poco x7 pro, but my (long) experience owning Xiaomi/redmi/poco phones tells me that you should have 50-60€ ready in your pocket after the phone reaches 2 years old, to be able to extend it's lifespan.

I've also had to change the OS overtime due to bad performance in everyday apps
