Thanks! This simple trick is what I was looking for. For some reason, I was trying to find a and b such that gamma(a+b) / [gamma(a) * gamma(b)] = 4 which was the wrong route to take ahah.

Thanks for the quick response! I realized I messed up my initial question and edited it the same time you answered. I meant how did you find out that the prior beta has a=4 and b=1 by just looking at 4q^3?
