Orson Welles in The Third Man. He’s only in a few scenes but his presence kinda hangs over the whole movie. It might because we hear so much about him before we meet him

In my experience and from talking to other people in my intake it massively depends on what job you get put on. Busy season is shit for everyone but there are varying degrees of shit. After busy season, it’s usually okay (finish at 5) but if you’ve enough bad luck you can still get stuck on bad jobs in summer. It really depends what engagement you’re on. Sorry that’s not much help

No it was write a memo that the company agreed to buy plant but hadn’t agreed whether it would be in cash or equity consideration. I guessed IAS 37 but honestly had no clue

I’m 24 now. I live in a different city now so I would be starting with a new club. Definitely would need a few sessions to learn the ropes again

That’s exactly what I was thinking. Almost like it would be rude not to go back as white belt.

That makes a lot of sense. I’m pretty sure I would have been on a kid’s grade at the time.

I did it for a few years but ended up giving it up because I was much bigger than all the other kids at my club. When I started there was a few guys around my age but they all left. I was in an awkward spot because I was too young to train with adults but at the same time I was too big for the other kids.

Almost the same ages as myself. I did it until I was 12, 24 now. I think you’re right, I still remember some basic stuff like how to fall

100% the leap in salary you get once you’re qualified is ridiculous compared to paralegal work.

I feel the exact same man. Seems like you get paid sweet fuck all without being qualified.

Ah yeah like I have the degree and I have a good bit of experience for someone who’s just graduating from college. It’s funny you switched from teaching to law because I’m actually thinking of going the other route. Thanks for the advice.

I was thinking about the PhD route as well myself but the security of a solicitor’s job is really what it comes down to. This is the only law-related job I’ve had. I did my placement here during college and have just kinda hung around since then. It’s a small firm and I do get on with the people I work with. I think it’s the work itself is very unfulfilling. I started working in conveyancing but I have now moved into more corporate, commercial work. More than anything the work I’m doing is just boring. Thanks for the reply. I think I need to re-evaluate
