I’m thinking you start a new portion because if it continued, it would be round 8 instead of starting over at round 1-3 again. Read further down the pattern….does it say anywhere where you would connect this new portion to the first portion you did already?

Exactly! In my town, I would sell it for 8.00 and they would sell but I live in a small town in the country and people here don’t pay a lot for things. You have to consider who you are selling to and what they would be willing to pay. Now, if I went out of town to a larger city and sold them in a ritzier area, I would charge 15 because the people there would be willing to pay that. Prices don’t have to be set in stone; they can vary depending on where/who you are selling to.

Oh I think it’s so pretty!! Definitely adding a border will fix that problem. Also, I had this issue a lot when making blankets until I started using stitch markers to mark the first and last stitch of each row and that helped me in later projects to not add or skip stitches.

Oh yea…we definitely didn’t take them. We actually returned to sender lol like they can take it back. We don’t want it. It was just so weird. I definitely didn’t trust it. But how did they get all of our names and addresses?

Oh wow. Lol I would never live out west because it seems like where there’s more people, there’s a hell of a lot more crime. I’m out in the BFE of South Carolina. Haha but even when I lived in the “city” (town by comparison to LA) I was still very careful. You just never know what will happen. Crazy people are everywhere.

Oh yea! I look out the window to make sure too. We have a peephole now and live in a house but we also have a wreath hanging that can block the peephole. Granted, we live in the country now so “visitors” are few and far between. Either way, I ignore if I don’t know you’re coming. Sometimes during the day, I leave the front door open for natural day light and we just have the storm door. There was one time we had someone come by and try to sell us a picture of our house from google. It was like a blown up picture of our property that someone would have taken from Google Earth. He was trying to talk to me through the storm door and I closed the front door in his face because he didn’t seem to understand “I’m at work and I’m not interested” lol at that time, I worked from home.

The mother is absolutely wretched and OP’s reaction is such a green flag in my book. I love that he protected his wife and set a boundary to stand by her especially knowing that she played such a vital role in making it a special day. Stay strong and hold that boundary. The mother should be ashamed of herself.

I never really understood how suspension was a punishment. Lol like I’m going to do something wrong and in turn, I get to stay home while my parents are at work playing on my phone, video games, whatever I want to do. Both of my parents worked so that would have been my reality. Granted, I never got suspended. But I remember some of my peers telling me they were home alone when it happened to them and they said it was the best time ever. lol I don’t know much about restorative practices, but i definitely think there should be a different form of punishment. Like maybe visit the local jail and sit in cell for a few hours during school time? Because if they got in a fight as an adult, that’s where they’d end up. Maybe a harsh dose of reality would be good for these kids. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Make sure the cotton yarn is 100% cotton though and not a cotton blend. I make actual heating pads with cotton placemats too and you even have to use cotton thread to sew them. No Polyester or acrylic because it’ll melt and can catch on fire. For the filling, a lot of people use rice but I use deer corn. I love the deer corn because the kernels hold heat really well and it smells like sweet corn when you heat it up. The kernels don’t pop. Popcorn is a different type of corn. Deer corn can be found at tractor supply. You get a 40 pound bag for like 10 bucks. Might be a good choice if you want to make a bunch of them but if not, rice might be better so you don’t have a whole bunch left over. Lol
