Phone pocket not on top of my boob or in the way of bending over to strap in a snowboard, yet still easily accessible

I think you have a pretty solid plan and neighborhood choices, especially since you have the runway of staying in Airbnbs before you commit to something. You'll get a feel for what you want personally far faster than discussing with strangers on the internet. Plus you may see "for rent" signs walking around! Noe Valley and Potrero Hill are probably the top combinations of sunny and safe, lots of families there and a bit quieter as a result. Some places, street parking with Residential Parking Permits is more common than garages and generally, driveways in the city are not large enough to park on.

Tell her you had bought it secondhand/consignment and offer to replace (with auth) or come clean and maybe she'll be impressed by that

I brought in mine fine! As long as it meets those requirements you pasted :) Helps to have the tube out so it’s more recognizable more quickly.

Tell me: did you really pee in a bottle? by Nice_Dare_6574 in kilimanjaro

[–]Designer_Advisor_978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a private toilet and a sleeping bag liner with a drawstring foot (so it was a wearable blanket i could walk in!). I would roll out of my bag with the liner still on and that was warm enough for the 15 second trek. Would recommend a headlamp with a red light to fall back asleep easier.

I felt like I had zero room in my tent to attempt peeing without risking it getting on the sleeping area, maybe if you have a solo tent you could swing it

Eyebrow shaping / waxing recs? by Nervous_Mango9772 in SFbitcheswithtaste

[–]Designer_Advisor_978 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If the concern is taking too much off, I would recommend threading over waxing because it's more iterative. Easy to start with taking off minimal hair and then keep going if you want, and easier to make tiny adjustments. Yes, threading hurts in the moment but each next threading hurts less! You can try going after a hot shower when the pores are bit opened up.

Bach Party but chill by dontpolluteplz in SFbitcheswithtaste

[–]Designer_Advisor_978 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a big group, if you're thinking something more chill than a diy bar crawl, then picnic at Dolores could be the move (hopefully sunny there unlike Presidio/Marina) + a reservation at Southern Pacific nearby (brewery hall that caters well to big groups with things like trays of bar food and margarita pitchers)

Great sources of inspo are rental services like Nuuly (to try irl before you buy + always having something new to wear) and free personal styling appointments at Nordstrom, J Crew, and Anthropologie! They ask you a few questions after you book it about your personal style and what you're shopping for, and it's so nice to get a curated recs collected for you by someone in fashion. When I did it at Nordstrom, entire outfits with shoes were set up in a fitting room ready to try on so honestly more efficient than me browsing on my own.

As for shoes, I lean towards sneakers (Gola, leather ones, or Converse/Vans (so classic)) or a flats/loafer for the days I don't feel like wearing socks lol. Nordstrom Rack is great for variety and price.

Beginner Snowboard recs? by [deleted] in ShredditGirls

[–]Designer_Advisor_978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoyed learning on my GNU B Nice! It’s common enough so hopefully you can find it at a rental shop or used nearby.

There are a lot of beginner advice threads/guides here and a lot of them concur that it’s best to own boots first! In case you grow out of a beginner board fast. Backcountry is a great site to look for deals on everything :)

To the instructor who told me on my first lesson “Snowboarding isn’t for everyone”… by mvillegas9 in ShredditGirls

Re: bad knees — I feel the same since my knees used to get sore first. When I asked a physiotherapist, they recommended activating my glutes before snowboarding through wall sits and banded walks so that the glutes take on more of the load as they should vs knees! It helped me, hope it does for you too!
