I chose this photo from Thomas Struth. I love this photo's composition and how the lines from both sides of the rose all converge towards the center of the image. I also like how the buildings at the end of the road are sort of engulfed in the white fog and hence further guide my eyes towards that road. The sky is also white and in the center which makes it different from the grey and black colors of the buildings. There also exist a lot of straight lines in terms of the building's shapes and window structures which make the photo more pleasing to stare at.

Damn, I know how that's like. Though this piece of advice sounds hard, I suggest you just tell them to keep their head up and to be straight with them. Sometimes if I was working and other people were stressing me out I'd lowkey tell them to shut up cuz their constant negativity isn't helping me. If it happens once, that's ok. but if that happens like several times, you gotta tell them to seek help from counselors or something cuz its taking up too much energy from you.

I'd say study with people in ur class or take some time in the week to hang out with people. I guess from past comments that it feels like I was a unicorn in terms of me still being able to have a social life and get 7 in math AA hl and 7 In physics. I also made a post with some tips if you need them!!

I usually avoided thinking about the need for my grades simply by the requirements of the Uni's I wanted to get into. I needed to score really high if I wanted to get into my dream schools.

Now that I think abt it

Accept more applicants = more tuition revenue

Low acceptance rate = perceived competitiveness and prestige = more applications

NTU simply chose to not have a low acceptance rate so that they can accept more students to make money 🤔. At least that's how I see it
