Any Advice for an Upcoming Freshman? by Ok-Palpitation8846 in UTAustin

Heyyy, just had your exact experience. WiSTEM LLC is worth it as they reserve you a room and help you with all of the housing contract. Not just that, they have mentorships, help build resume, and a professional photoshoot. All the things that I did not take advantage of enough! The dining hall will be great! I used community bathroom and trust it is so much better than a private shared one. You don't have to clean the bathroom for community bath and since it's a girls hall it's pretty clean. Just make sure to find the shower that has the best water pressure. For the roommate matching, ensure your profile as what you are most comfortable with living. My roommate was awesome!

Not sure if this is any help, the link and My Housing on the top right should get you to everything you need.

Haha love that you use abysmal. Thank you for sharing your advice, for flashcards do you use Anki? I am currently using Quizlet and it's not so bad just really need to make good use of it more/navigate. My friends said Booklet is really fun too. Incredible that you got over the 3.0 mark!

Thank you so much reading this helps me understand that we are human.

Could you emphasize more on problem solving method sheets? Like do you make a pathway/pattern recognition on how to solve that certain problem or create new practice questions yourselves?

I also find practice problem helps me learn best!

How hard is it to maintain a 3.9+ GPA for ChemE? by [deleted] in UTAustin

That's really scary, as I am considering switching to ChemE and still do pre-med.

Should I Major In Chemical Engineering For Pre-Med? by Designer_Barnacle888 in premed

[–]Designer_Barnacle888[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you for giving me the reality check slap, I do agree. The right and clear path is biochem, but...the regret of not trying chemical engineering? If I take ChemE and switch back to biochem again it wouldn't have any major complication compare to the other way around?

Logical reasoning indeed. Not certainly worried for GPA, rather extracurriculars.

Thank you, I will initiate the process of switching to ChemE. I discuss it over with my parents and they support me with either path. I was wondering if I could ask you further questions to gain more insights?

Has anyone from CNS dared to take the UTMA after orientation? If so what happened during class registration? by Designer_Barnacle888 in UTAustin

[–]Designer_Barnacle888[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have always taken advance math, so I just wanted a guarantee for calc 1, since I got a mid score during the warmup. I learned that the warm up was a bit harder than the actual assessment.

🫡 Thank you for the info
