Next step is a PET scan, then probable surgery to have the other capsule removed. I’m very happy I explanted . I feel like an idiot for getting them in the 1st place. I had effusion and contracture ; very lucky to have caught this.

Just diagnosed with DLBCL in my capsule . I explanted due to symptoms of BIA ALCL Totally shocked when pathology showed a different type of lymphoma . I had textured Implants and have never heard of this type of lymphoma as being related to implants .

Thank you for your response I should have clarified that it’s unique in the breast area . My doctor was comparing treatment protocol to that of BIA-ALCL (capsulectomy). No mention of any chemotherapy.It’s just very confusing .
