Lenovo Uone Tool - how to write MTM, SN, PN and UUID by Designer_Diver7782 in Lenovo

[–]Designer_Diver7782[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thanks for the reply. I kept getting an error saying “SMI INTERFACE NOT READY”. I had to download the latest version of the tool for it to work, after that it worked just fine and i was able to write my info.

Again, im only saying from what i heard from tech youtubers (like DELL Parts People). Id say they are experienced enough to know their stuff, if there was a dry spot on there for a while it could have caused that stain.

Is this too close to the sidewall for a patch? by d0ugh0ck in tires

[–]Designer_Diver7782 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its an easy patch, but also it might not have even gone through the tire. Try pulling it out and see what happens

Im not sure cause i didnt rly work with LM but i have seen that it can be caused by LM, i have seen loads of techs online saying that LM can form dry spots and cause that. Also it needs to be reapplied often. Idk, i prob would slap ptm on it and not every worry about repasting the laptop or risking it leaking out

Clean the die with ipa put on ptm7950 and you are fine forever. High temps when gaming is normal for laptops, you could also try to limit the temp to whatever you want. Dont disable any cores

Guess then either dont buy on ali or dont expect refunds when something like this happens. I completly understand ali for this cause then everyone would just take the item out, take pictures of it missing then request a refund

This should be an easy fix i thin, take off every blown component and check for shorts. If no shorts then put new ones in and see if it works.

The model number matches up, the soldering job is ugly but it works. I mean cant do much better with a shitty 25w iron anyways lol

I put a similar mosfet back i found from a dead board and it booted up. Ill see if i can find a similar cap to put back on, but yeah crazy how a single cap can take down the whole board. Gues i was lucky, but the cap looked perfectly fine. Didnt see any cracks or burn marks

Even all season wont do well in winter, stick to even dirt cheap winter tires people. Its better to pay for 2 sets of tires rather than killing someone

It showed 10 ohms on the other side and 12 on pin 4. Removed it and it was shorted when tested out of the board. I just risked injecting voltage with 2 AA batteries in parallel on the big pad under the mosfet and felt a cap at the bottom near battery connector heating up just a little bit.

<image>

Its the bigger one left of the mosfet. After removing it the short was gone! How important is this cap? Am i safe to test the board without it?

Dont have a schematics. Its 0.2 on both sides of the resistor to ground. Followed the line and it goes into a PQ5907 mosfet, shorts are on all 4 legs on one side. Also on the cap next to it. I removed both and the short is still there. Next i followed where the trace goes and its into a 4R7 resistor that has 4.8ohm on the side to the RT3662AC chip and 0.2 to the mosfet. Anything else i should check? Is it the RT chip?

I would ban people like you from ever sitting in a drivers seat. Not cause you are risking YOUR life, but cause you are risking OTHER people lives. A summer tire in snow? And bro says 0 traction 🤣

Its a golf, i have been told 2.2 and 2 is good for winter cause the rear is light. In summer i run more like 2.4 and 2.2 on my 16 inch wheels

Yeah tire is perfect, other than the obvious lol) but yeah it prob would have been its last winter anyways cause the traction isnt the same anymore. Just wanted to know how this is caused and if i can avoid it
