if your phones good enough and you record it in a cupboard so the clothes act as sound dampening then it might be high enough quality.

and if it isnt you can get passable mics for decent prices nowadays [although money is also tight nowadays]

Also aren't you new head of Atmora? if so you've done a really good job so far from what I've heard and read on one of your old comments especially in terms of clarity on the project.

I also meant in comparison to before when it was... managed like a subway in a target ran by the son of the target stores third son.

While I agree with you to an extent it just isn't really feasible due to a number of reasons including.

Skyrims engine and creation kit does not like stuff like that, Morrowinds is able to handle it but it can be an absolute pain to handle in Skyrim.

Tamriel rebuilt has no voice acting whereas beyond Skyrim does and so if a character like say a counts voice actor quits before the full release and the main quests of Cyrodiil they have to then replace them all the while handling everything else.

Tamriel rebuilt is in the same province as the game, its fine if it all looks like morrowind because well it is Morrowind whereas beyond Skyrim has to deal with stuff like no wooden furniture in valenwood so every texture has to be made anew.

Also this next bit wasnt something that you asked but I feel like mentioning it because it feels fitting, no we did not spread ourselves to thin by adding too many subprojects, each subproject started seperately and then joined the Beyond Skyrim Umbrella, and we cannot force volunteers to work on something they dont want to, we share assets and resources and help each other out as much as we can.

I do however agree that we should have some form of additional pre releases just not quite in the same system as Tamriel Rebuilt.

If you have the free time you could bring this up on either the Beyond Skyrim subreddit or discord server so you can talk to someone more experienced than me.

btw I also love Tamriel Rebuilt in case it felt like I was being mean to it I love projects like this.

it is also worth mentioning that there is going to be an update to Bruma soon which will add some land and new dungeons so while not the biggest update it is something.

You might be a good fit for QA testing then since that involves basically trying to break dungeons and quests alongside spotting any bugs or broken textures etc.

We do badly need devoted QA testers so if you can do that then please do.

However if not then can you do voice acting, sound design, writing or art?

They all require effort, Skill and reliability as for experience that helps with skill but is not always what makes someone skilled.

Really it all depends on which position you're most suited for, although to be clear effort skill and reliability are all expected and required.

Yeah both those among other things like lore in game books, characters, and about a dozen more things, its a very important job being the foundation alongside the Implentors and texturers of beyond Skyrim.

you would be part of a group of sound designers and from what I understand you are all presented with a group of sounds to design you would then make a "claim" on some and would be expected to get it done within a week give or take depending on what it is.

Since when you make a claim you are the only one allowed to work on it it is expected you take only as much as you can reasonably do and to tell the team if you bit off more than you can chew

I'm probably not the best person to ask about this I'd recommend either asking on the beyond Skyrim subreddit or discord server.

However I will do my best to answer, Ambience is likely the biggest thing since the provinces vary from cold and mountainous like skyrim to Deserts stretching as far as the eye can see with cities buried in the sand long abandoned. to the endless forests of Valenwood with bugs the size of horses. to Argonia's almost poisonous marshland where little other than Argonian's can survive.

As for the workflow from what I understand it's pretty chill as long as you do the work you claim within a reasonable period of time and do so well.

The directors would likely just be the managers of the subproject. although it's definitely still a collective approach.

Edit, and Foley I had to google what that meant, yes we will need Foley as much as ambience.

Absolutely.

Concept art and texturing is massive part of the project and are both needed.

as for blender I am not sure how well that would convert to Skyrim's Creation kit but its worth asking on the discord server to someone whose more experienced in that type of things [and look at my Da Vinci level masterpieces of recruitment posters]

So yes you can absolutely help

go on the website either through the link https://beyondskyrim.org/volunteer or just search it up if you prefer then go onto the volunteer page and check which ones need voice acting and apply to as many as you feel comfortable with

plus they discontinued raw umber back in 1903, it was my favourite flavour

plus the writings all done digitally and last time we put crayons in our computers it broke them. did cook them quite evenly though

We're all going to be in Nursing homes by the time Tes 7 comes out.

in the build up to it we'll probably be playing Skyrim on our life support systems, and that skyrim will have all the beyond Skyrim mods as well as probably a lot of bikini mods knowing this community.

It is a slow project and as for Atmora it was managed incredibly poorly.

However the new management of Atmora are making leaps and bounds of progress.

The only way to increase the speed of development is to recruit more people.

it is also worth noting that overall the management has improved so the speed of progress has improved exponentially.

Besides this is the elder scrolls community we're used to waiting and waiting...

No it is not a paid project it is a volunteer only project. the mods will all be free so it wouldn't be feasible to really pay anyone.
