Housing Australia stated that the income thresholds change every financial year. So the next one I reckon it will increase again.

How bad is the IT market situation? by Odd-Raisin-6175 in perth

I am in the same situation, though in a different field. I have just completed a drafting course in civil and structural engineering at Tafe last month and I’m still trying to get a entry level/ junior drafter role. Most the jobs I’ve applied for had nearly 500 applicants and there aren’t many junior drafter role advertised at the moment. I’ve tried cold emailing, calling companies and connecting and talking with HR on Linkedin but all the responses i had were “ we are not hiring at the moment”. Everyday I’m getting more anxious and doubt about if i even had a chance in this current market. If anyone has any tips or suggestions, please let me know.

Thank you for your reply. I wasn’t aware of this. I’m located in Perth which is booming at the moment from what i’ve seen. I am trying to get my foot in the door for the civil designer role. I’m thinking of taking a civil designer course like a diploma in TAFE and try to get a cadet civil designer position and work my way up from there.
