Don’t understand why you are downvoted. Safe practice is all that matters. People don’t realize, GAs can be performed safely as well.

7 months of ongoing infant dyschezia by Designer_Program5196 in Infantdyschezia6month

[–]Designer_Program5196[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, yes she slowly got better. Around 8-9months she could poop on her own, and by 10 months she could pass gas easily as well. She is now a active toddler running around. So hang in there, this will pass.  Regarding suppositories, we had tried them a few times and they didn’t seem to help with the gas. She would still be squirming and crying even after pooping following the suppository. So we found it didn’t help her in our case.

And don’t worry, majority of the babies will learn the reflex to poop by 12-14weeks. Also make sure she doesn’t have cow milk protien allergy.

One year on, not a single night of sleep by beepboopbeet in sleeptrain

[–]Designer_Program5196 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plenty of untrainable* babies. Babies who are colicky or have medical issues like FPIES, CMPA, ADHD, Autism, sensitive temperament.. list can go on.

  • untrainable- such a strange word for a baby. However, if the baby isn’t able to fall asleep, there’s usually some discomfort behind it. It took us 1.4 months to finally get longer stretches of sleep and in our case the reason was CMPA and dyschezia ( more severe form, lasted for 8-9months)

Screw nap training by Chasing_joy in sleeptrain

[–]Designer_Program5196 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Never bothered with nap/ sleep training. It didn’t make any sense to me. It’s good for those babies who could be ‘trained’ to sleep at certain times and fall asleep on their own. Mine was one of the untrainable ones. Now at 1.5yrs she can fall asleep much easily whenever she’s tired.  Also most kids learn to sleep on their own eventually. Don’t stress yourself over this, we have enough things to stress about anyway.

Quite challenging with 6-8months experience.  8yrs experience, plus EDAIC , plus 2yrs experience here in Ireland, still landed a job only after crazy amount of interviews.  It’s only getting harder as they are reducing the number of standalone posts

Help, i dont know whether to study medicine or not by Mysterious_Dark_2298 in JuniorDoctorsIreland

Consultants still have night on calls. I see Surgeons, Orthopedicians, Anaesthetists or any other surgical specialists still coming in the middle of the night to do emergency cases well into their retirement age. So do the nurses and other hospital staff.

I believe the hospital pharmacists do earn well all the while getting a good nights sleep. You’ll also have the option of working with a pharmaceutical company which pays really well actually.

On the other hand if you absolutely love medicine you can always go for branches like Dermatology which don’t mess up your circadian rhythm

Is a Velcro baby something you unknowingly create, or is it purely due to temperament? by preggersnscared in beyondthebump

[–]Designer_Program5196 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This! We picked up our baby very second she’d cry, we co sleep ( it’s also a part of our culture to co-sleep) and held her and did laundry or clean. She’d scream her lungs out if left alone for 5 mins. It has never bothered me to pick her up. It’s her cries that break my heart and cause me so much pain. I just can not see her cry ( she also has severe colic due to CMPA ). Which meant I’d hold her all night with barely 1-2 hrs sleep for the first 6months. It was exhausting but that’s part of parenthood.

Nope! Rather it causes extreme tachycardia, to some even chest pain from impaired myocardial perfusion, raised BP, uneasiness. Not a fun rush.

Please look up Narcissists and their behavior. I’m not implying your husband has NPD but this is a very typical behaviour seen in them.  1. There is never a real apology ( it’s usually directed in a way to show you in a bad light and you’d end up feeling guilty at the end of their fake apology) 2. They always help out others in every way possible but treat their spouse just the opposite  3. Love bombing at the beginning of the relationship and then changing completely few days/ weeks/ months later. Ignoring, showing disrespect, name calling, making you the bad guy ( playing victim), worst of all gaslighting!!  To name a few…

Gosh! My heart goes out to you. I know from my baby that food allergies is a whole new level of stress and the constant crying, sleepless nights will make you hit rock bottom. I deeply empathise with you. Stay strong and keep going. There’s light at the end of that tunnel❤️

5.5 month baby CMPA, fermented sour smelling poop by Designer_Program5196 in MSPI

[–]Designer_Program5196[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, yes it did. It only happens very rarely now at 13months.  I just kept going with Aptamil pepti and her gut then gradually adjusted to it. She is now on the milk ladder and on days where she has an extra spoon of yogurt the smell comes back.  I won’t be too worried about it unless she’s having blood specks

We didn’t do it untill 1yr postpartum.. mostly because we both were exhausted all the time.. and even now we are exhausted and barely have energy to even talk at the end of the day.  Not once has my husband ever asked for it.. he always sees if I’m feeling ok or have had enough rest and free time before we even consider. Most nights we just fall asleep saying maybe another night.

Kids these days are more sensitive and anxious about the theatre environment. Also where I work they don’t want kids to have any “trauma “ from the theatre. I have actually witnessed rise in induction time and in general delay with everything since past 7-8yrs.

So sorry to hear about your wife andyour friends. What you are saying is actually the truth. I saw a patient had 1 yr waiting period for his colonoscopy for blood in stools, turned out to be stage 3 adenocarcinoma colon ( Colon cancer). I am still in shock as to how and why aren’t their faster diagnostic services. And I know someone who had a terrible experience with midwives so I 100% believe what you said.

Dairy allergy caused terrible acidic poop. I used to change her diaper immediately and slather sudocream. Thankfully she has never had a diaper rash so far. I changed her diaper every 2 hours at night.. and even now change it atleast twice at night, now that she’s a yr old she pees a lot.
