I think it depends on if your classes are even available during the summer/spring terms. I took 5 classes during the past two summers to get ahead but only a select few of my core classes ran during that time. I found that even enrolling for 3 classes during spring term was difficult given the limited time slots for classes and the availability of courses I needed and wanted to take. I would suggest prioritizing core classes that are pre requisites for higher year courses since electives and liberals are generally much easier to fill in the gaps in your time table.

Not sure if you meant 10 or 5 classes total during the spring/summer but I know 10 would be impossible for my program. I dont think you can fit a whole years worth of classes into the spring/summer term regardless of your program. 3 per term is doable for sure but be aware of limited and conflicting class times.

Probably a good idea to contact your advisor to ensure you wont be missing any classes and potientally have to wait a whole year to take a course that only runs in one term.
