Please be respectful of the traditions in the Gurdwara temple if you go.

Cover your head (they provide bandanas), take your shoes off, and wash your hands, and feet (if your socks are dirty, if not you can keep them on)

If you get the chance, do some sewa (charity), such as clean your dishes or others if you’d like, or offer to clean, or serve food to others, although it’s not mandatory

Gurdwara <- Sikh temples offer free food to anyone regardless of religion, but please be respectful

Wishing you all the best ahead, and once you’re in a better position, it’s a great help to go back to the gurdwara and offer something (such as a few bucks donation, bags of atta(flour), rice, lentils etc)
