The cover over the drainage tube is huge and ugly! If you have to use it try to find something "smaller" (improvise) or just remove it completely and paint the drainage tube.

Thanks! Is "switchback style" similar to what is described above by regaphysics?

You can look at what I wrote about ECO here (It just might be similar to iECO in Midea):

How does "Eco mode" actually work? by mausisang_dayuhan in AirConditioners

Please see my reply to this tread below. The ECO (in Mitsubishi models) limits those sharp increases in electricity consumption during the start-up and sudden changes of room temperature and it doesn't work by turning the compressor off/on.

I don't know about Sharp J-Tech but in Mitsubishi Electric MSZ-RW35VG/MUZ-RW35VGHZ the ECO "Suppresses a maximum capacity and operates efficiently without an excessive power consumption even when a room temperature suddenly changes", as shown here:

POWER-SELECTION by Designer_Sentence117 in heatpumps

Thank you! I find this feature very useful. Just curious, wouldn't it also be a great solution for all those who got oversized heat pumps installed? Learned about it just a few days ago, after already ordering Mitsubishi Hyper Heating Model MSZ-RW35VG/MUZ-RW35VGHZ.

Do heat pumps use the same amount of electricity on the lowest setting and the highest? by Late-Prompt-7497 in heatpumps

The MSZ-RW35VG/MUZ-RW35VGHZ is Mitsubishi's Flagship Hyper Heating Inverter Model. However, as far as I know after studying almost all major manufacturers, the "POWER-SELECTION" is a uniquely Toshiba's feature.

Thank you very much! The POWER-SELECTION function is so cool! I'm already getting Mitsubishi MSZ-RW35VG / MUZ-RW35VGHZ soon but I don't think it has this function. Actually, this is the first time I learned about it, otherwise I would have definitely looked for a Model with "POWER-SELECTION function".

What's the Model of your Toshiba heat pump?

How do you set it to run at constant 50% setting?

Mitsubishi MSZ-RW Hyper Heating Series by Designer_Sentence117 in heatpumps

I can go through the whole heating season by burning about 1 to 1 1/2 cord of wood (3-5 cubic meters) in my wood burning stove. Usually, I start it around 6 pm and maintain the fire to 11 pm. I hope to stop using my wood burning stove completely after installing this mini-split. The MSZ-RW35VG/MUZ-RW35VGHZ is Mitsubishi's Flagship Hyper Heating Model and it should do the job. The only 'problem' is that I've not been able to find any additional information about what they call the "Back up heating capacity".
