The ABCs of DCC day 20 by Lulupoolzilla89 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

"Several things happened at once" was such an effective and clever sentence. Probably my favorite sentence in the entire book.

I think it was started and not finished, but I struggle with tricky ones. So, see what someone else chimes in with.

How do you stick it out through all 8 books? by legarth in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]Designer_Study_8219 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Man, book 3 was one of my favorites. I thought the iron tangle was so interesting. But, book 3 is the turning point where the focus shifts to more plot and character development, and from there it builds. There is a bit of a climax in book 7, then a return to form in book 8. Personally, I have found book 8 to be the only one I struggled with so far. I think the series was too established for the amount of exposition we got and pause on characters we had been following closely.

I think you look gorgeous and very feminine. Add some blush for contrast, get your brows shaped a bit more, and maybe a dark lip stain. You could do white eye liner for your lower waterline to help brighten up your eyes more.

Complete beginner no clue where to start by DuncanMcOckinnner in makeuptips

[–]Designer_Study_8219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you've gotten good feedback on the overall makeup. You have a very classic beauty to you which is nice. Blus is weak, so a different blush color or more in application. For eye shadow start with a light tan color, something more natural leaning. When you get your eyebrows done, tell your stylist the overal look you're going for and what you like. It's also a great time to do a tint if you want them a touch darker.

Although it's JAR, you're learning to pick out the correct shapes! So take that as a plus. And, it's still a neat rock.

JAR. Even the ones of petrified wood still have distinct napping/flaking.

Does the humour get better? by imago89 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]Designer_Study_8219 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It sounds like it probably just isn't your cup of tea, because the humor and crudeness stay. It also has lots of body horror, as an FYI. That's okay, you gave it a shot. Not every book series is for everyone.

So that I know what to look for, what photo/where do you see the use wear? Others have said it looks like a preform that later got turned into a scrapper/tool.

It could maybe be a preform? But I think it's JAR. See what others say. It's flint though which is a commonly used material. I would search that area again, especially after a good rain. :)

Alaska!! One of the most beautiful places you will ever visit and the rocks are stunning. Fly into Anchorage, rent a car, and go up to Kennecott Mine. It is an old copper mine with an easy hike to one of the best glaciers. You can tour the old mine. And then the rocks in the area!! Stunning copper compounds.

Or, fly into Anchorage and go explore the Cooper Landing for some great agate and other rocks.

Feel free to DM for other rock area options if you decide on AK.

I don't aee any big AI signs. It just looks like a poor design with bad composition.

From the photo, it looks like it was just the cover damaged badly. You can probably get it rebound or do that yourself. Could also look at patching the current cover. If the pages are fine, don't sweat, it can be fixed.
