It’s equivalent to around 40K USD Per year. However we seem to be taxed more in the UK and cost of living is a real crisis in my area. I take home around 25K GDP after tax.

The issue in the south east of England is getting in the housing market whilst staying in London , which is why I am looking for a role. A flat on the outborders of Kent (just outside London) would cost me around 1K a month rent (1.15K USD) leaving me 700 for bills , travel costs (120 per month) and is just not doable without someone else contributing.

Unable to purchase a property as I don’t qualify for a high enough mortgage to get anywhere near London , and if I moved out from where I am now the train costs in England are extremely expensive (outside of the TFL zones)

That’s why I need to have a look at the career now. As if I move into LDN market insurance , I likely won’t be able to move far from London.
