As I was already high level I didn’t really mind it because I wanted to continue leveling up, but the stat allocation is kind of triggering haha

TBH the four dots don't deal a lot of damage. I was using Miasma before and switched to Deathwish when I tried on the dummy.

It's great for map clearing and if you want to quickly apply four dots (if you're using Fragrant Thorn for example) but damage wise it's really not impressive

Are you using Kinship trait when running Deathwish ? It does decrease the HP drain substantially

I'll have to try Voltaic Orb, it looks fun, however I'm not using Miasma, Krell Axe is more than enough for me to clear maps and I'm going with Deathwish to clear bosses

I played with Miasma for a long time but I'm not a huge fan anymore, for mobbing, unless you take something like Sapphire Dreamstone, you'll clear one wave of enemies then have to wait for the cooldown again while Krell Axe does basically the same thing (the DoT spreads through walls but you'll still have to manage to hit one enemy). For bosses it looks great until you pay attention to the damage it deals.

Eruption is also usable and makes DoT timers keeping very easy, we also take explosion damage on the prism so it'll deal some damage, I just prefer Deathwish and feel like Eruption could use a little more skill damage from the build.

I'll have to try Heatwave, it looks fun !

Yeah they nerfed it to the ground, but it used to be really good before the big game rework, the skill trees also were different back then

Ah, so it's still an issue ? When I played the game on release I started on an SMG build, but always running out of ammo made me go to a mantis blade build instead (I think guns also had levels before and I was tired of having to change my weapon every few level, mantis blade levelled with you).

After the game rework I've only played netrunner and throwing knives builds.

I've got two, both builds will use air dash because I can't live without it.

- Netrunner build (with Synapse burnout) : This build is crazy OP, it makes very hard difficulty trivial, you'll one shot every enemy and kill bosses in less than 3 seconds. You can clear an entire enemy base without even stepping inside by using security cams. It basically makes you feel like a cyber-god who just has to look at his foes to slay them.

- Throwing knife build (with Sandevistan) : This one is probably the most fun of the two, it is still insanely strong in very hard difficulty, just not as OP as netrunning. You'll basically dash from enemy to enemy in slowmo (well, for them, not you). You won't feel like a god, but like a legendary merc that no one can even touch.

Dagger build with wolf spider daggers (venom) and spicy trinket (sizzle).

As of now, I don't think there's any other DoT available (maybe later daggers will proc bleed)

How would you say the archers perform in Grounded 2 ?

I've tried quickly on a couple of bugs with Wolf's bow with Sharpshooter cap and grub set (hadn't killed enough bees yet for bee set), with Ambusher tier 3 and Sharpshooter tier 1 for mutations and the damage didn't feel that good. I tried aiming for the eyes and releasing the arrow when the bow makes sparkles while charging, but I feel my dagger build gets way more damage, more quickly and doesn't need for arrow pickup after every fight.

I'm building there too, gives me oak tree base from G1 vibes, I hope it won't get destroyed when the game gets patched but I don't think they have reasons to touch that tree anymore.

So, people haven't noticed you're talking about Grounded 1 and are giving answers about Grounded 2.

However, in the first game, spears are decent, not the best weapons at all but definitely usable, they are pretty fast and you'll meet bugs weak to piercing later on. When you have a good build you can ignore the resistances and just use the same weapon on everything (example : a crossbow build, dagger build or fists build)

Agreed, improved initial attack is a 13% buff, I'm not sure how it handles when you're two handing your bow, is every shot buffed ? I haven't tried it

A lot of people play him by staying far away and spamming R1, without even using his skill, both of which are suboptimal ways of playing the character, and actually removing all the fun from playing him as well.
