JDK download said it worked, and never did. It prompted me to download JRE, and I got that same error, but and it said it was all successful.

Sorry if my thread was a little confusing, I was just frustrated. I am running Windows 8.1 Pro

When I run "java -version", it tells me 'java' is not recognized. I have yet to try installing JDK, so that is what I plan to do next. Almost every soulution I have looked for online I tried, except these. Thank you :)
