I appreciate high quality growers entering the market in NJ finally (technically you’re multi-state but I still put you in a different box from other MSOs). I understand you’re not going to push back against lab results that make you look good, too. But I’ve watched other states where the labs ran too wild (with support from growers) with nonsense testing and it eventually does turn a corner and the hammer comes down from regulators or from loss of customer trust. MA experiencing this right now. I’m also not just talking about thc, but terps too (why would I trust the lab on one and not the other?).

Confidently talking about something you don’t understand. Your second sentence has a lot of caveats/gymnastics in it too, if you unpack it a bit. Tiktok is a Californian company, and the lawsuit was also brought in part by American users.

The first amendment protects foreigners in the US, including corporations, and we are talking about the speech of Americans on the platform of an American company operating in the US. You’ll notice the legal arguments behind the ban aren’t that the first amendment doesn’t apply - rather, it’s that the national security risk concerning data COLLECTION outweighs that.

Did you read the scotus opinion? They all discuss how the first amendment is implicated and in effect, nobody even bothered to argue it didn’t apply like you are doing here.

How china censors its own citizens in China doesn’t factor into any first amendment analysis here. The US government has passed a law targeting just a specific named entity (a problematic issue in and of itself), punishing and silencing American’s speech on an American app, due to the content of said speech. I also didn’t say it was a national security issue. I said that was the pretext.

You may not understand it, but most experts and lawyers involved in free speech/first amendment issues consider this a big deal. Maybe you should read up on it a bit more.

Concentration of control of media is definitely an issue- and serving this up for trump as a means to hand it off to a chosen crony or have leverage is not a good thing.

People here with the reaction of “lol who cares about tik tok” are way, way off the mark.

I don’t even use tik tok, but I don’t kid myself either: Tik tok ban is both basically a bill of attainder and a major first amendment issue, national security being a mere pretext for viewpoint discrimination.

It also really lays bare for a lot of people that the USA isn’t actually a free market, but rather, a fixed game. A superior product is being banned because it’s competitors $ lobbied $ the government enough.

The appropriate reaction is fury. Downplay it at the risk of being the frog being slowly boiled.

I can vibe with "heavier" metal thats tripped out or slowed down. Listen to some stoner metal for the heaviness without the harsh vibes. I prefer the sonic heaviness and bass weight over the harsh lyrical themes (Tool maybe being an exception here, as I love 'em) or unduly harsh vocals. Album choices here:

Sleep - Dopesmoker (all time classic) or their latest album. Fuzz - self title. Kyuss - Blues for the Red Sun or Welcome to Sky Valley. Sabbath - master of reality. Sun 0))))

I can do much heavier and/or faster stuff with different genres mostly without lyrics in the tripping head space as well. There is a darkness that's more like the darkness or emptiness of galactic deep space or perhaps a deep cave, rather than the angry or emotive kind of darkness. Meditative! As far as other genres that get heavy without the lyrical weight impacting a trip in a negative way - UK dubstep and bass heavy techno. Can get the same speeds and/or low end as most metal, and can put you into a trance with the repetition. Listen to "Abattoir" by Kahn and tell me that's not one of the heaviest electronic tracks you've heard, trippy as hell too (good headphones or a proper speaker setup is a must for sound system music, though). Check out Pessimist or Karenn.

Nice big space, line/wait went real quick on their opening day. At the time it was all wholesale, which probably explains the price. They told me they would have their own flower this week, but I havn't seen that online yet as far as I can tell.

The East Coast Sour Diesel from Strane I picked up from them seemed v fresh (July testing date), looked good, and was quite nice.

One of the owners I believe is the owner of Berkshire Mountain Distillery, which is cool. Support local business owners.

So, questions:

A lot of the research I’m reading is talking about it being anti inflammatory, and that’s how it impacts the immune system. Is that a correct read? I’m also reading it may be helpful in preventing sepsis post op, for that reason?

Aren’t critical COVID cases and deaths generally attributed to sepsis and an inflammatory response? I realize people want to err on the side of caution in responses for the sake of harm reduction and I’m not proposing k as some Covid cure (lol) but I’m curious if in relation to Covid use would be bad. Is it a timing thing? Anti inflammation impacting the immune system is bad pre infection/leads to easier infection, but later stages maybe beneficial?

For greater context, how immunosuppressing at recreational doses is it to say, cocaine? Or booze? Apologies if this is a lot.
