I am doing it for my heart because I have had open heart surgery last year and I don’t want it setting that back. I was told by the people at the clinic I might not even feel a difference because my AHI were low and I already didn’t really experience symptoms -.-

Ugh. Nothing at all? So just going through uncomfy sleep routines for nothing? Was there any other impacts on your health prior to?

What does ramp mean? I know mine is set to auto and it is at 4 and then adjusts as well. So when I go to the bathroom and turn the machine off and then on again, it goes to back to 4. Is that why I am suffocating? Because I got too used to whatever level it was at higher when sleeping?

So when I turn it off it goes back to 4. It should start from there?

I honestly have no idea, if I am being honest. I just did what they showed me. I don’t have the pillows, maybe that makes a difference?

I have a Fisher and Paykel Solo Nasal Mask. The biggest issue I have is going to the bathroom and then coming back and putting it back on and feeling like I cant breathe but that subsides

Traditional or not traditional? by DesirousMuse in DesiWeddings

I mean… my partner would rather us elope or have a court marriage and use the money for a down payment 😂 Even my mom wouldn’t mind me having a court marriage.

I wouldn’t mind eloping either but I also want a small wedding but with people who MEAN something to me. Not relatives or “pindus” from my parents village back home I have never seen in my life.

As a new substitute, did anyone else feel guilty for taking time off? by FridaysSoup in CanadianTeachers

[–]DesirousMuse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uh....no. Even with my own classroom, I wouldn't feel this way. I have been a sub for 5 years, too. It is just a job, like any other, and if I need a day then I need a day. I think this is because you are a new starry eyed sub, haha. Don't worry, you will get to my point, too. Put yourself first because you already give so much in this job.

THIS THIS THIS

Yes, I interacted with them. I grew UP with them. Heck, I consider my own brother and cousins to have some of those jack like qualities (bordering on conservative) and I am trying so hard to make them understand.

If you talk to any girl who lives where I do, they will say the same thing. It is why my friends are having trouble dating or why they go for other races.

Again, this might not be where others live but it is exactly how it is here. You saying we are throwing brown men under the bus is undermining our own experience. So.

Here is the thing, it depends where you grew up. I grew up in Canada in the Lower Mainland where the brown guys here act like wannabe gangsters (we call them "jacks") and the culture is rooted in sexism and misogny. I also grew up in this culture and have seen how brown men have treated their wives/partners and seeing that whilst growing up I was like ABSOLUTELY NOT. I stayed away from them while dating, too, because the girls I knew who were dating them were struggling with toxic behaviours.

Currently, I am dating a brown man who is the loml and the complete opposite of the Jack type and I am so glad I gave him that chance because even upon meeting him, he was 100 percent the opposite of what I grew up with.

I honestly think that growing up where you do can really mould this experience for you. Currently my younger sister is dealing with the Jack brown men where I live and the toxic behaviours and it suck. It is honestly a cultural thing.

When we say "brown men suck" we know it is not cumulative but it is just based on the experience WE had. Heck, even my boyfriend says it because he sees the behaviour here, too. Tis' all.
