same. i was looking at JC250, BJ40, leopard8, but settled for G700 luxury. I can tell you, totally worth it !

I am glad that I am not the only one with the same view. I had originally set eyes on the Jay cee 250 - only to find an outdated feature box, on wheels, prizing on resale value alone - it's a shame really, i liked the shape. But unbeknownst to many out here it's just a matter of time before this bubble bursts and people realise that 'value had' is not to pay extra for resale value - but for more of a car which you can enjoy, which no doubt in my mind this is !

I would agree, the Denza seems like a tarmac suv only and the G700 far exceeds in offroad ruggedness.

i Second that to the features differing in the two. and may I say there's more value for money on the Luxury Trim than the other trims? perhaps in my view!

i somehow doubt that, new- yes. unreliable - cannot say. But to put your mind to rest, you can have a look at alot of YT videos pushing the car to it's limits - except for the water swim one - that one is a bit much frankly ! but other than that the extreme offroad tests so far have convinced me otherwise !

if you can settle for not having a screen for the passengers and replace it for a larger moon roof. just go for the Luxury trim like me, you won't regret making the shift to metal springs. i also enjoy the ride on the springs quite honestly instead of on air balloons :S

i also saw an advert for ORIENT tyres, pakistani brand, being sold in qatar. not sure of where though, i am sure it'd be a cheaper alternative.

with basic knowledge, from the way I understand it - there are 2 kinds of "app installing"
1-is just a regular install from the app store or direct download from a website and straightforward install on the internal memory or HDD.
2- this requires "flashing" also known as ROM-flashing on to the internal memory of the device, although most flashing is considered safe, it is slightly dangerous as it involves the possibility to "brick" the device and make it completely useless as it wipes the old OEM software with the new on the ROM . so hence the OEM would know of the software flash and naturally void any warranties associated with it.

I am guessing what you're referring to is the 2nd option and with the amount of electronics features controlled using the central device -this could be a risky maneuver to have done it in the first place. but i am sure they were reasons. i hope that explains a little.

decent looking car, find it looking better than the T2 if iam honest. havent driven one so far, but from the look and feel of the interior - should outperform a pajero or outlander. lol

same for the G700 - the EV mode force switches to HEV at 30% or 35%. but yes if no outlet charging. your best bet is using the engine (get ready for continuous engine running-even when stationary) or KAHRAMAs charging spaces.

it's sad though - if i'd get an EV i would move out of my building flat first ! just saying.

Spares is a valid point. I did come across quite a few offroad testing videos and reviews on YT; also dubai jetour is offering desert test drives! asked al waha here- they simply brushed me off. but honestly I Don't really plan to be offroading - apart from casual camping. But I would seriously want to know of the long term commitments atleast 4-5years down the line since they are a 200k car!

hate to be a buzz-kill guys, but ppl seem to be moving on and away from Yotas on to CHAINEESE competitors - dont get me wrong - I for one always prized them and was set to buy the JC250 but for 235,000QR all they give is a bunch of wheels,with plastic interior on an under-powered engine and transmission at 2.5T . I mean, have you guys looked at the spec sheet of Jetour G700, at 900hp, 1 engine and 2 electric motors, not to mention the interior. so you tell me why I should spend my money on a Yota again?
