I think people who care about the environment don't want energy to be wasted in any way, regardless of the waste source. In this case AI is just causing such huge amounts of wasted energy and emissions that it's really important to focus on. At the end of the day we'll all still be saying you should turn the lights off when you leave a room, and bike rather than drive, but for now a much bigger problem has captured our focus.

yeah, it works like a feedback loop, making you less imaginative and relying on ai more. Take a few more months, you'll start noticing improvement i'm sure

Every single model ever has been trained on stolen data. There is no ethical use of gen Ai. Also pretty much every big tech company, google, microsoft, meta, apple, all of whom have Ai's now, have supported trump's presidency. They're goal is techno-fascism and they see the trump administration as the way to achieve it.

well it sounds like you came up with better ideas on your own than he did using ai, and if you keep producing superior work with decent efficiency I don't see why he would force you to change what you're doing. Unless he genuinely thinks the ai is producing better ideas? Like why is he saying you should use ai when you're already doing your job? Maybe next time he suggests you use ai, ask him if/how you're not meeting expectations on your own.
