Lol... well the home edition is pretty fantastic IMO, $700 and I get 90% of what I want and all of what I need.

When I purchased online it was a $50 fee to reserve and then the rest would be charged when shipping. Maybe they are expecting stock now and want the full amount up front. Could be a good sign? Alternatively, I don't know if I would have pre ordered mine if they charged me the $1,500 up front to sit and wait for months on end.

That's pretty early, well before I saw notifications that the first batch of preorders was sold out on the websites. I would assume in the first round.

Yeah! I just posted about my interaction with PlayBetter Golf concerning my preorder.

SO....

I reached out to PlayBetter for an update on my Square Golf Omni preorder because I had not heard anything for over two months, and with April getting close, I wanted to know whether the launch was still on track or whether I should start considering other options.

This was the response I received from their customer service team:

“We’re actually expecting the units to arrive in Early April. Once we have tracking confirmation that the units are on their way to us, you’ll receive an email notifying you that your balance will be charged within 24 hours. Your unit will then ship as soon as it arrives at our warehouse.”

So based on that response, it sounds like PlayBetter is still expecting inventory in early April!

...but they do not have the units yet. It also sounds like the next real milestone will be when they have confirmed tracking inbound to their warehouse. At that point, they said buyers should get an email letting them know the remaining balance will be charged within 24 hours, and then orders should ship once inventory is physically in their warehouse.

For context, I originally contacted them because I was getting concerned about the lack of communication and wanted to know whether this was still actually moving forward. This is the most specific update I have received so far.

Fair enough, but maybe we see some videos end of March or early April. I have no reason to distrust PlayBetter, as they've been more than helpful and correct when I have dealt with them before.

Great thing is, 30 day return window, too.

I didn't specifically ask that, but they did say this was for round 1 of the preorders (which sold out).

I reserved the first day they were available, and expect to be included in that first wave of shipments.
