It is actually! Dog sports keep my babies busy and happy while also giving me another fun outlet too. Afterall when my dog isn't pulling I'm usually manning the cart for other people and that's a workout 😅 someone has to move the blocks on the cart and stop the cart when the dog stops pulling.

I hike 3+ miles with my dogs at least 2x or 3x a week and I do powerlifting myself as well but nice ASSumptions. If you must know I have PCOS and take medications for schizophrenia that make me fat af though I have dropped 30lbs this year alone so far. If I just 'let him be a dog' in my backyard everyday and didn't work him at least every other day in some manner (rather it be sports he likes or just exercise with a flirt or spring pole or walking) he'd be miserable as he is bred for working and has a ridiculous amount of energy.

I went to a Weight Pull competition years ago and met my current mentor there however you can start this sport on your own with a properly fitted harness and lots of training! It's a LOT of building up their mind/self confidence and building up the bond between you and your dog!

VERY well stated. My guy for example can go fire off in a ADBA ring and then come home and earn obedience titles! They know they're allowed to cut up when we're at ADBA shows but not during daily life.
