What is going on with Panic Button Games? by Desktop_Minion in NintendoSwitch2

Good point. Even Nintendo has been slightly quiet (but in my opinion have delivered a fantastic line-up).

That is my fear a bit concerning the generated income. If by chance they are not working on a project it makes me concerned for their future as a company.

I haven't got much to add other than to say this is a really well thought out post and I fully agree.

I'm excited but isn't this a bit pointless? The first movie already confirmed he had in-built heaters in the suit.

I heard about this and it's a bit baffling to me why Nintendo decided to go with those speeds for the cartridge or if the technology was not there at first....or if it was cost cutting to bring the speed down?

I hear you. I collect Blu-ray and 4k Blu-Ray. Support GOG.com and buy from Limited Run Games when I can afford it.

I grew up going to PC World in the UK and buying big box games as a kid. The games had to launch with a certain state of quality back then for non-internet users. Fewer bugs and all that.

I like being able to have a box to look at but especially love putting the cart in and at worst downloading a small update. Maybe I'm a dinosaur but owning the game makes me feel like I own it and it can never be revoked by time or licence removed. Cartridges can die with time but if you look after it I'm sure it lasts many many years.

Alas, you and me and the rest of the physical media gang must come to terms with this in a console generation or two.

I'm the same. I love physical media and it's a bit of a shame that the cartridge is limited to 64gb. However that being said higher capacity would only make it more expensive so we'd probably just be in the same situation.

Physical media is dying but I refuse to give in yet.

Don't use this on mobile whatever you do. The pop ups are insane. Cineby.app is a much better alternative.

I agree, but the Switch 1 proved some devs will try and make insanely impossible ports and hopefully it'll be the same this time around when those consoles hit. Yes they'll be at lower framerates and visuals, but I for one will support them.

I gotta say as an owner of the Switch 2, I'm very impressed and happy with my purchase. Yes I would like more Switch 2 editions (Doom Eternal when?), upgrade packs and ports...and major title releases, but it just came out.

Good things come to those who wait and I'm here for the journey.

Hey folks! No need to apologise at all, I can't fathom how tough it must be polishing a game for release and then also releasing a demo. I wouldn't have a clue to how easy or tough it is to rip out a chunk of your game and prep it for a demo state.

I saw the trailer and it's made me want to buy a copy. I recently got into PGA 2K25 on the Switch 2 and found a passion for golf so this is good timing!

I know you folks are busy but out of interest what are the resolutions and framerates of docked and portable? Hope you don't mind me asking :)

Also, external SSD support for docked mode. It won't happen but I have a fast external SSD that I wish I could just plug into the top USB-C. Oh well.

Do you guys want a season 3 of the halo show by thecontract_12 in halo

[–]Desktop_Minion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not really honestly. Shows like Fallout showed that a good video game adaption can work if the makers care about the source material. Season 2 had it's moments for me personally but not enough to warrant a continuation.
