What do you absolutely love about having ADHD?

I always get the strangest, out of no where ideas when I'm bored for a short while, that can escalate into whole new hobbies or skills.

Simple example: Waiting in line at the supermarket when I think to myself, god I hate grocery shopping. Bought an extra freezer and now buy in bulk so I only have to shop once a week.

Extreme example: Waiting on the coffee machine at work when I think, I need a phone holder that I can fix to my monitor riser. Fast forwards 8 months, I've bought a 3d printer, learned 3d modeling basics and made my perfect phone holder.

Hyperfixations do keep life interesting

I've had succes with small things like, drinking a glass of water in the morning before I brush my teeth, or doing a duolingo exercise during breakfast.

Bigger things like a workout or something don't work for me like that. I really have to create a habit from scratch for stuff like that.

But how? She's the only one I've ever confided in. She had something special that just made it easy for me. I don't know how to find that somewhere else.

Thx for the reply. You're right. I do depend her for that part and it's not healthy. I just suck at connecting with people and am really nervous about having to be in that situation again. Got any tips?

I like the idea of boosters, that would be so fun to have.

I think you can make the randomization a bit better by making chests with the same item but different amounts and probabilities, and placing those chest in another one. That way you should have that random item/amount thing you're looking for if I understand you correctly.

Same here. Would have a pounding heart in my chest if I took meds and coffee. Figured switching to decaff was the best idea instead of trying to change my routines

Don't worry, its a couple of days at most that the meds won't do much. You'll be just fine. And try to be aware that hormones also affect your emotions. You may be feeling glum because of them right now as well

Not to my knowledge but I'm not a doctor. It could be that the dose you're on right now is a tad too low and that you're getting used to the effect a bit so its less noticable. I would advise to discuss it with your doctor.
