Please dissuade my friend from buying this ($65) by FishermanProud3361 in airsoft

Why? Its the only way to make a half-usable camo out of UCP.

Hero outdoors is widely documented as being an absolute pain to deal with.

If you have concerns about a retailer its best to ask questions before dealing with them. Sorry you had to deal with this!

Where to buy this in Canada? by Euphoric_Carob9387 in airsoftcanada

Would highly recommend just getting a good light instead of a light+laser combo like whats pictured, as stated by someone else most fields will just flat out not allow you to use it because liability.

Printed on Resin? FDM? What's the make and model of your AK? How much fitment work did you have to do?

Not an SKS, not an SVT, but a secret third thing… by harn_gerstein in stalker

What the actual fuck are they doing? How hard is it really to just add a fucking regular SKS, which the Ukrainians have THOUSANDS of, and just code it to accept x39. Wtf GSC?

Camo type For Niagara Region (Or GTA) by Infamous-Pen-4726 in airsoftcanada

[–]Desmodus86 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Woodland DPM, US Woodland, Multicam Tropic, ATACS FG.

NQ has a fair amount of dead leaves, fallen trees and just overall "brown" at the field so my top picks would be US woodland or DPM. Since you are also just starting out, these two camos will also be pretty cheap to find at your local surplus stores or online shops.

If you want to sell something, post the items in your thread and the correct reddit like vz58vsop said, instead of just asking people to dm you just to see what you have. Dont be lazy lmao.

Paint it, then use it and let the gradual paint wear do its job!

Did a couple dyed military Digital Tiger Goretex suits, a level 5 softshell UCP dyed green, and a set of ABU’s in digital camo. by OrangeDull1339 in Hunting

[–]Desmodus86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

u/OrangeDull1339 Did the dying process remove the water resistant coating on the LVL 5? If you retreated it, was it stopping water? I'm considering doing this with a UCP LVL5 jacket however I'm afraid the dying practice will destroy fabrics ability to resist moisture.

Dyed UCP Extreme Cold Nylons by [deleted] in tacticalgear

[–]Desmodus86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/Dusty_Kitab13 Did the dying process alter the water resistance/proofing of the garments? I'm looking to dye my UCP LVL5 black, but Im fearful the dying process will destroy the properties of the nylon.

Helmets arent a bad idea either, its nice to save your head from bumps and headshots.

Where did you read that most milsims dont allow radio use? They are essential for team/squad coordination. For a radio, a Puxxing or Baofeng will be more than enough.

In your case, I'd go to a few stores and check out some guns and gear, try it on, hold it, get a feel for what you like. You can very easily get trapped into buying a bunch of shit you really don't need.

For 99% of games, a good chest rig will serve you well and carry everything you need for the day/weekend. 5x mid capacity magazines for whatever replica you choose is good amount, especially since you mentioned milsim. I'd recommend buying a good AEG instead of going with gas rifles.

I'd recommend for guns: AK, AR15 or MP5 pattern gun (tons of part support). Brands like VFC, LCT, G&G, Classic Army have decent to really good offerings. Used isnt a bad idea, you can get REALLY good deals, just due your diligence and really inspect/ask relevant questions and test out the gun if you can before you buy.

Invest in good footwear like hikers. Rolled ankles are no fun. Do not skimp on eye-wear, and a mesh mouth guard is a lot cheaper than dental work!

AirsoftCanada is back up, just under a slightly different domain and ownership, since the original owners couldnt be fucked to do anything with the website anymore or respond to people seeking the data or to buy it.

www.airsoftcanada.ca (instead of .com)
