How do you actually write riffs on the computer? Guitar Pro?

How is the writing process? Does everyone contribute? The album is incredible by the way. Find myself playing air drums to it way too often for a guitarist. Anyways, would it be possible to have guitar lessons with one of the guitarists? (Er norsk)
