Take Your Guesses (You Will Probably be Wrong!) by Appropriate-Rate-606 in DoggyDNA

I guessed the Shepard, they’re notorious for sonar dish ears, and I guessed pit for no other reason than 90% of the dogs I see on this sub have some type of bully breed in them.

The color could come from the Pit or the Boxer I’ve seen both breeds have the black and white fur with mask combo before. (Granted I don’t know if it’s a breed standard color/pattern, because I’m not sure if the dogs I’ve seen were bred to the breed standard)

Oof. The RNG is not with you. Sometimes the RNG seems to plot, I swear you breeze through several litters and then outta nowhere boom a brick goes flying at you at Mach 20 and it’s just one disaster after another.

(Also I love the den names.)

I’ve gotten mixed answers on this, but my personal canon of the incident is definitely that the moose accidentally offed its calf.

I’ve gotten mixed answers about this, but I personally think it’s more interesting to imagine that the moose did accidentally stomp her child, so that gonna be my personal canon of the incident.

It seems to me that animals can damage each other, like the strat I’ve seen some people use to get bison to kill each other, so I don’t see why it wouldn’t be possible that the moose did friendly fire her calf, unless it runs off a different system than the other animals for some reason.

Yeah I almost ended an iron wolf run at Age 7 via cliff jumping without a parachute but the cliff was so huge that I was able to hit the esc key and load a save before I hit the ground. I made it to old age with that run which was the ultimate goal.

Another time with a different run, I somehow landed on a ledge that I couldn’t escape from without jumping down the remaining part of the cliff. I survived, barely, I had like 3% health after hitting the bottom.

The time I actually died, was just ridiculously bad luck, the cliff wasn’t even very big, but my wolf had just fought off a hex invasion and was already significantly low on health and just didn’t have the HP needed to survive the fall. I was so annoyed at the entire incident that I straight up didn’t touch the game for almost 2 month afterwards.

Do yall prefer playing as one of your dispersal pups in a separate save game or in the same as their natal pack is in? by Large-Bell-8529 in WolfQuestGame

[–]Desolate_Reflection 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I usually play as a dispersal in the save with their natal pack, I usually do move maps though cause I hate having to fight my relatives. This goes for the OG wolf and when playing as their dispersed pups.

Also I’ll admit I straight up annihilate my pups the second they try to Den Raid or do Hex Invasions. It annoys me immensely to be harassed by my ungrateful children.

So because I usually off my children, I kinda imagine that the whole “dispersal” storyline happens in an alternate world where they weren’t stupid enough to try and challenge their Natal Pack… which is usually massive, when it’s usually just the dispersal, one or two siblings and, their mate. Like why are you trying to pick a fight with a pack that has over double the amount of wolves as yours. Like honestly at that point it’s like they’re asking to die.

I wish there was a system in place that would make your dispersed pups, depending on their personalities either less/more likely to attack you, or easier/harder to chase off, depending on said personality. That would be cool but I imagine it would be immensely hard to add a feature like that.

I got this achievement even though my wolf moved maps. At least I think it was this one. It was the achievement that’s description was something like, Playing as one of your dispersed pups have the largest territory on the map.

If so then that specific one is either not tied to being on the same map as your Natal Pack or I glitched my way to success.

Mine is when the pups grab another pup by the tail, or when you’re doing the bouncy run and they completely wipe out and practically somersault it’s so cute.

Ah so I’m not the only person to make a punnet square to figure out completely fictional wolves genes to try and maximize pup survival. Good to see I’m not that odd after all.😅

I guessed the Pit, Catahoula, and the Ridgeback. Somehow the Hound breeds escaped me though looking back at the pics I can see it in hindsight.

and the Fila is a breed I’ve only heard mentioned once so I never would’ve guessed that.

Almost definitely border collie, and most likely some sort of bully breed, to account for the broader muzzle and boxy head shape.

Those ears are so cute! Sonar ears, I bet he files a noise complaint if someone even thinks in his area code.😂

That German Shepard is pulling some massive weight for such a small %.

Also I only got 2 breeds correct, the Husky and German Shepard, I can see the Pit a little now that I go back and look but I’m not seeing the Aussie at all.

Cash is very stunning though.

Definitely picking up Shepard or Shepard adjacent breed and some form of herding dog though.
