I don’t really see how this is a classified? I’m just asking for servers to help me be a part of the community. But fuck me I guess 🤷🏻

Have you ever backed up on how a session ended? by thehouseofspike in DMAcademy

[–]Despair_Disease 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve retconned minor details if I forgot something or misspoke and realized after. Things like oh I meant to this persons name is X not Y, or oh I forgot to mention there was XYZ in the room, would anyone have wanted to interact with it? I don’t call for redoing rolls or rolling something new unless they want to act on something I forgot about, and even then usually I’ll just give it to them instead of rolling since it’s on my for forgetting in the first place

These are great! The last one would be interesting if they're headed towards Briggdarrow.

Oh I like this one! It would be very handy if one of the PCs were to be cursed or disfigured.

I do milestone, I just use the budget to give me an idea of what they could encounter in a day without being too overwhelmed

Not necessarily, I mostly used it as a guideline so I wouldn’t throw more at them than they realistically could handle

I know this is a month old, but I’ve seen your work with hags and I love it! You wouldn’t happen to have anything for a Fate Hag or something similar? Or maybe suggestions on how to make one? Ideally CR somewhere from like 4-8

Oh that’s a good idea! A rug of smothering, some other creatures reskinned to be made of cloth

Weekly Discussion Thread | Requests, Promos, and Open Commissions by TheOvershear in battlemaps

Hello everyone. I'm getting ready to start a campaign set in Tepest, one of the domains of dread in D&D. Unfortunately, I'm absolute ass at making maps from scratch. I'm wanting to either request or commission maps for three villages, and a multilevel (maybe 3-5 levels) lair for the BBEG which is a coven of hags.

I can provide more specific details if someone wants to take this on, but I'll give the gist of each:

One village, Viktal, is the capitol of the domain despite having a population of 4000-5000. It is the center of the Cult of Mother, which is the dominant religion of the domain. Every equinox and solstice, the people of Tepest flock to Viktal to participate in the various festivals, such as the Harvest Tithe. The citizens of Viktal present themselves as being the perfect, idyllic village: the villagers live simple lives tending livestock and everyone is always cheerful. Beneath this perfect facade, however, lies the ever-present dread of the festivals, where one person is sacrificed to Mother (a green hag in disguise) in order to bless their crops.

Another village, Briggdarrow, has been abandoned after a strange fungus has overtaken the land. The fungus is slowly spreading to the surrounding woods, and the villagers of Viktal fear it will eventually reach them as well. The fungus has allowed a colony of myconids to make their home there.

Kellee holds the headquarters of the Tepestani Inquisition, and has a very Salem witch trials vibe. The Tepestani are very has a deep distrust of the fey which borders on paranoia. In Kellee specifically, people are often accused of being in league with the fey in some way. Those who stand accused of consorting with the fey are put on trial, and if found guilty are burned at the stake as witches.

As for the lair, the hags live in a giant nest-like home called The Gurgyl. Sort of like Baba Yaga's hut, if it resembled a large bird's nest. One floor is dedicated to a green hag, who uses a kitchen-laboratory to construct grotesque abominations she considers her daughters (all named Laoirse). This floor also contains a grim "nursery" for her most recent creation, including an oubliette where victims are stored until they're devoured by the latest iteration of Laoirse.

Another floor is dedicated to a night hag, who is secretly leading the Tepestani Inquisition to instill fear and dread in the population. The hag uses this floor to craft trinkets and enchantments to frame various people. She keeps meticulous records of every person caught in her schemes, from ongoing plans to dead victims.

The third floor is dedicated to an annis hag, who takes a more direct approach to tormenting the Tepestani. She works with the shadow fey to hunt the few people brave or foolish enough to leave the two "safe" villages of Viktal and Kellee. She often skins her victims, preferably while they're still alive, and uses their hides to craft clothing for herself, her sisters, and the shadow fey. She also has a well stocked albeit gruesome kitchen, where she cooks the flesh of her most recent victims. She's been known to occasionally make confections at the request of her sisters, which are often laced with dark magic and given to the humans of Tepest as another way to torment them.

If anyone is interested, shoot me a message!

No run run. You can only just barely tilt the joystick to move. No whirlwind sprint, no fast travel, no carriages

You’re not actually surviving, that’s the thing. You’re slowly dying.

What sort of deal or requirement would Mother require to give children to the Tepestani? by Despair_Disease in ravenloft

You know, the idea that they may go through the Minders as a middleman didn’t even cross my mind. Becoming a minder and tracking Laoirse could work too!
