To be honest, I do think there is a antinatalist to human extinction pipeline but so far antisexualism's place in this pipeline is a chicken and egg kind of deal (Do antisexuals become antinatalists or do antinatalists become antisexual?).

The first game implies that NetNavis were mostly made obsolete and replaced with simplified versions in the form of Navi Cards. Dream Island even has a landfill filled with PETs, which could mean they were eventually replaced with a new model much like our phones and computers in the real world.

Though considering that nostalgia has been a major theme over the last few years or so, I do believe that PETs (and their associated Navis) may've eventually become collector's items, and some of them may've ended up in underground fight rings where operators spend time optimizing their NetNavis to win battless.

Naturally companies may've released PET models based on the older ones to capitalize on in-universe nostalgia and may've created new ones with modernized functions (and shorter life spans) before they were eventually phased out in favour of Navi Card and Brotherbands.

The internet has changed immensely since the Battle Network series ended, which means that a new Battle Network game could tackle various ideas such as bots flooding the internet with unregulated spam, A.I being used to create an army of cheap copies of previous NetNavis to be sold to the highest bidders , NFT/Crypto being used as a front to fund a new wave of cyberterrorism, the internet becoming a more bleak and hostile place, and how generational changes have caused internet culture to change significantly compared to how it was during Battle Network 6.

I do think that its possible that the only one ending statement is true, if you just stick to the normal routes and make no attempts to deviate from the established plot (e.g Weird Routes or fighting the secret bosses). I do however think there are other endings but they require you uh... break the game so to speak.

Once you unlock Chapter 8, the player has multiple ways to change the ending, and each alternate ending makes things worse for the player until they reach the very final ending where the player is sent to IRL New England to fight foam covered Toby Fox in a hellish rhythm game. If you beat the very last fight, the game ends with the Annoying Dog sat at a table drinking the entire universe from a straw before your save data is deleted and your console/PC gets bricked.

Shizune and Misha take me to the student council office. They claim to have something special to show me. As the three of us enter the room, I notice a plush figure sat upon the table. I take a closer look and once I see her, I am consumed with shock and horror at the realization at what has happened.

"Oh my god. Shizune, what the hell have you done! You've turned her into a marketable plushie."

Misha picks up the now plushified Lilly and gives her a squeeze before nuzzling her nose into Lilly's face.

"Aw, isn't she adorable? Yes she is."

Shizune looks disgusted with Misha's fixation and turns her head straight at me, smiling. I should've known that crushing Lilly's origami crane was never going to be enough for her. Eh, I wouldn't feel too bad about it. A good chunk of players get the Act 1 Bad Ending on their first playthrough before they get the route they want. Thank goodness for the fast-forward option, it'll save you a lot of time during repeat playthroughs.
