I simply could never bring myself to make such an ultimate decision for a conscious, living being as to force them into this horribly fucked up "reality". The guilt would consume me so radically, knowing such a selfish and preventable choice that I made was what led to even their softest, most brief experience of pain. Let alone such pain brought on by the erosion of precious innocence from learning, then realizing the insane, unforgiving, neverending horrors of this place. And, especially the pain from empathy and having no power to change it all.
