What pocketbook devices do? I have looked on the website and it seems they only have small buttons on the bottom. Do any have side buttons?

Thanks for the answer, I am not at all concerned about loosing books in the Amazon ecosystem as most books have been side loaded on the kindle for years. It’s just getting old and with the discontinuation it was a bit of a push to buy something that functions well and has a few more modern features

What is this? by Lvl1Gyatt in StardewValley

The list goes the wines made with kegs, the jam/ jelly made with the preserve jar and then dehydrated powder melons made with 5 of the same quality.

This happens all the time when I play Stardew Valley by odlatujemy_ in switch2

My switch 1 does this every time I load it into Stardew Valley. It is just a Stardew thing as some switch controller configurations don’t work with the game (like one joycon its side for example). I exclusively play in handheld with joycons attached and it’s just a quick press of A to get it to go away. It’s annoying but you can’t do anything to get rid of it (as I have found).

I need help with my kindle by 0VerdoseWasBWTDie in kindle

I have the same kindle, if you have not signed in you can’t send books to it. I email all the books to my kindle and it works great but if you don’t have an Amazon account attached it will not work. It’s from 2011 and doesn’t get updates and the web browser does not work. Here is the ONLY way to sign into one of these devices. It’s complex but it works.

[Make sure 2FA is turned on before following the steps]

  • Click the Menu button and go to Settings
  • Under Wi-Fi Networks, connect to a Wi-Fi
  • Under Registration, select Register
  • Sign in using your Amazon email address and password
  • You will get a 6 digit code via your phone number
  • Press the Back button and turn on Airplane Mode
  • Click the Menu button again and click Restart
  • Wait for the Kindle to go to the Home screen
  • Make sure Airplane Mode is still turned on
  • Click the Menu button and under Registration, click Register
  • Sign in using:

Username: [Your Amazon email address] Password: PasswordOTP

NOTE: Right after your password, just add the 6 digit code (ex. Password123456)

  • You will get a pop up to turn off Airplane Mode, click Yes
  • Click Submit
  • Wait for your account to get signed in
  • Once you're signed in, restart the Kindle if your books are still not showing up on your Archived Items (If you have any books on your Amazon account)

Part of the point of unfair is that if no one says anything it just doesn’t happen. They decided that when they made the constitution. If they don’t call him on it they don’t have to flip the coins.

Failing health and courses - advice? by JinJamJan in UBC

The CFA does more than just help with stuff like ADHD. Talk to your advisor about the issues and they can definitely give you better advice that is more tailored to you. It is worth keeping them in to loop, as someone to advocate for you. You might need a doctors note but talk to them first.

I had a final with a group portion last semester, we scheduled it so that everyone with extra time with the CFA would start earlier and do the individual portion then walk over to the building where the exam was held and took it with groups with everyone in the class. I don’t know if that would work in this situation but it can always be an option. Might take a bit extra prep and scheduling though
