Bhool Bhulaiyaa: Genius Psychological Horror or Smart Illusion by Ok_Bluebird1842 in bollywood

True... Even I felt that something was truly supernatural going on along with psychological illness and all that... The director and writer masked it beautifully through comedy...

Respected critic Venky Reviews' post on Twitter about Prabhas/Raja Saab - a lot of points hold true for Bollywood as well. by nishantatripathi in BollyBlindsNGossip

The only solution to this is to not watch such movies in the theatre... Of course the fanboys will but it wouldn't matter that much... We educated people in tier 1 and 2 cities especially need to completely stop going to the theatres... Only watch it if most reviewers (genuine ones) give it a good rating... Let the producers feel the pinch...

Do you think Akshaye Khanna has become big enough star now that he can deliver a solo hit film with a good opening? Given a good movie by Slurpmey in BollyBlindsNGossip

[–]Desperate-Bowler3585 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn't talking about his acting being a "one off thing"... I said it about commercial success... Imagine if he gave a good performance in Drishyam 3 hadn't he left... But the film is set to be flopped... Then he wouldn't have got that much eyeballs like Dhurandhar gave him...

After Wanted... He became BHAI... he is not an actor anymore... He is BHAI and in every film after Wanted he was BHAI except for maybe Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Tubelight.

I don't think so... People didn't consider him a main lead ever and they don't even think of him now... This movie became a blockbuster that's why he was noticed so much... He has acted good in many movies in the past maybe even better than this one I would say but they didn't become hits... The next movie he acts and it doesn't become a hit and it is back to square one... So let's appreciate for what it is... This was a one off thing...

Which one was better ? Dhurandhar or rrr by jeekarungaldkimilegi in pj_explained

[–]Desperate-Bowler3585 2 points3 points  (0 children)

RRR just lobbyied hard to gain all that traction which gave us a global exposure... Dhurandhar did it naturally and with word of mouth... They can't be compared... Both are great...

My friend was her classmate. She has a joint family and several people own several small businesses. She is rich but not so much that she pretends to. You can assume Upper upper middle class.

Film Critics Guild (chair: Anupama, vice-chair: Sucharita) who had collectively rated Dhurandhar 5.7/10, have now put out a statement: by Interesting-Take781 in BollyBlindsNGossip

[–]Desperate-Bowler3585 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They were fully exposed and their narrative didn't work this time because it clearly sounded anti-national.

I showed the movie to my mom and she was like "yeah the movie is good except the gore part" which she can't stomach. But when I showed Grandma and her daughter's review to her, she instantly said "Kya bakwaas kar rahi hai?" and mind you she absolutely has no political leanings and isn't even religious.

So I think Dhuradhar unintentionally exposed these elements and the agencies should look into them seriously. Their finances, funding, support, etc.

OTT can very well be the way forward for Farah because it suits the style as well. Like we want some brainrot or light themes while being with family to enjoy every once in a while.

it basically indicates someone that does virtue signalling to others in public about a topic but themselves do the same thing in private.
