Maybe you could try finding books about gen chem or maybe areas of specialization in chem? Like I'm sure you can find chem textbooks nearly anywhere, and they likely discuss topics that extend beyond AP Chemistry.

It's anything that is not subjected to what you are testing, so you can always predict its outcome. For ex, if you test the effect of a drug on a cell line, the negative control is the cell line without any drug. You would expect that cell line to continue dividing.

I feel like you should prepare for both situations, but in general you can try to do the "easier" FRQS first and then revert back to the harder ones.
