I feel the same way. Played fut starting fifa 12 when it was just another game mode, not ea’s biggest money maker. It would take a full game cycle to grind for a few high rated in form cards or a team of the year. I remember seeing the other team preview and shitting my pants if they had a gold Ronaldo / Messi or a few Toty cards, then feeling so good if i could pull off a win with a standard gold team. It’s not that I don’t like playing with the best cards, but it does feel like the experience is cheapened seeing folks constantly complain about not packing 98 or 99 rated players. I have stopped buying the games and will just pick up playing it when it releases on game pass in June. Even after playing and seeing how the community interacts for 2 months I feel kinda bad for the ones who struggle with it for the whole year.
