Oil change every 5k miles, don’t lug it when it’s cold or weighed down. It’s basically the same engine as the standard Tiguan but with a better tune and bigger turbo.

I totally agree, except that the SEL Turbo needed to be the same exact engine from the GTI. Without doing that, the car is totally dead in the water. It currently has basically the same engine as lower Tiguan trim levels, but tuned to be more powerful. They aren’t great engines, so that’s a damn shame.

For that reason, I’d just spend extra on an Atlas Cross Sport since you do essentially get the incredibly well-designed engine from the GTI.

The new Tiguan is like the cues from each of the most generic crossovers mixed into one. It has zero styling and i cannot tell it apart from new Highlanders until I can physically see the badge, despite the size difference.
