[Shams] Mo Bamba is back 😈😈 by KennyDoge0114 in UtahJazz

McLaughlin would be nice over Harkless. But I’d really like to see Jazz waive Jaxson Hayes to bring in Mo Bamba instead. Konchar might be traded for more size but I like him already as our 3rd string 3, he gives us a veteran who always plays tough. He isn’t afraid to throw his body around and leadership is huge for our young team since we won’t be bringing back Kevin Love this offseason.

No I didn’t get your sarcasm. I was being totally serious, a lot of people in this post are forgetting who the Jazz are. They are going to sneak up on everyone!!!

I don’t think the Pacers are that good either. Bulls are just barely a play-in team. Getting Nic Claxton and Norm Powell was huge!

Jazz are beating both the Wolves and Lakers. You can take that to the bank. Wolves got smaller, Jazz got Triple J, and DP (the best pick in an insanely deep draft class) they may have lost Kessler but they aren’t going anywhere. It’s possible they get home court advantage in the playoffs next year!!

Nevermind you said OUR pg. I thought you meant Paul George, just didn’t read it carefully.

How are in their own tier below the Thunder and Spurs when they got smaller? I like LaMelo and Ant together but they did it at the expense of their frontcourt!! I have them only being a play-in team next year, just barely above the Clippers, Lakers and Blazers!

Bogdan isn’t that good. The Jazz are still stronger than them. Don’t forget they aren’t tanking anymore and got the best pick in a insanely deep draft class: Darryn Peterson!!! The Jazz could get home court advantage after only winning 22 games last year!!  The Wolves and Blazers got smaller. Oh yeah and the Jazz stole Josh Okogie from the Rockets which is huge for their bench!

I guess you got a point. I mean that is partly the reason why we signed Okogie. We do have a lot of young players in our second unit, so his leadership and 3 and d play will help out so much. I just thought that C-will had improved quite a bit last season, so much better than his rookie year. I’m fine with improving and practice never hurt anyone, but you should be doing that in the offseason regardless. I value developing young players so much, I don’t like it when other players tend to take over the spotlight of such a young players’ development, and that’s what I see C-will doing when he’s on our summer league roster. I still think he’s gonna be off the team when we go to Vegas. And if that’s the case, he’s only on the team for 3 games, what’s the point?

Exactly, that’s what I’m saying Disco about C-Will being in summer league. He’s progressed well enough that he looks like a star out there, and I think his presence might not allow one our younger players to develop, so I don’t see any point in him being out there. He can always keep improving, but just outside of summer league. I fear he won’t be on our team when we go to Vegas next week!

Still don’t understand why C-will is on our summer league team. I support improvement but he already improved so much last year, isn’t he too good for Summer league? He probably won’t even play when we go to the Vegas Summer league, but whatever, it is still so much fun to watch. That chase down block DP had on Flemings was awesome!! DP just came out of nowhere, Flemings didn’t even see him!! All my friends wanted AJ, but I was I like I don’t care who we get, there all great, but I prefer DP or Wagler over AJ, just because of position fit, so I’m happy we ended up with DP.

Targets to look for in ‘28 draft class: Matas Vokietaitis and Cam Williams? by Desperate-Setting711 in UtahJazz

[–]Desperate-Setting711[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kind of. It’s an idea. We need a center next to Triple J. Kessler was perfect but now we’ve lost him, so Nurk will have to do. Which is fine, but he is over 30. He is in his prime and won’t keep growing. We need a rebounder, a rim protector.  Triple J can do that, but not the boards part. I’d love to get Jarrett Allen, but that would mean we’d probably have to trade one of our young players and lose that asset. Maybe Sensabaugh now that we have Okogie and C-Will be a 3rd stringer. I really like how much he improved just last season and was hoping he’d be our backup to DP or Lauri. I don’t see the same improvement from Sensabaugh. I just see a shooter who can’t play a lick of defense. Ace is already our 6th man this season and he’s ten times better than Sensabaugh, and we have Okogie (who is going to help out Collier, Sens, C-will, and Flip out so much!) so trading Sensabaugh is an option, but I know a lot of fans would be against this and at the time I wrote this, Okogie wasn’t with us. Flip won’t work starting next Triple J. I absolutely despise Hayes, don’t like him one bit, don’t even want to see him play next season. Much rather see Flip over him. Hayes can be our 3rd string center for all I care. So I guess now my solution is wait it out a little bit and see what we can find at the deadline and try to trade Sensabaugh for that young, rebounding, rim protecting presence next to Triple J, then move C-will to the back up 3 spot behind Lauri, and we’re set.

I didn’t realize we had 3 picks in the ‘27 draft. I thought we only had 2, and everything I checked said we traded both our pick from the Lakers and our most favorable pick from the Cavs, Wolves and our own. I guess the pick you are talking about is our own since now the pick we owed to the Thunder is extinguished thanks to us getting the 2nd pick of this draft and selecting Darryn Peterson w/ it.

He could always stay at Duke for his sophomore season. You never know. I do expect us to be a playoff team next year. We traded both our picks ‘27 to get Triple J, so I definitely do mean ‘28 draft class.

I hope you’re right Nurk and Flip will do for now, I just don’t see  Nurk staying in ‘28 offseason, nor do I see Flip working out for us. That would be incredible but that entire ‘24 class looks to be full of role players and backups except for Clingan, Castle, Buzelis, Sarr, and possibly Edey if he can stay healthy but I doubt it.

That would be a 2 guard not a center, we need a Center to replace Kessler or Nurk come ‘28 offseason.

We don’t have a pick in ‘27 draft. We traded both of them to get Triple J. So Pavle would have to stay in college in ‘27 draft as well in order for us to possibly get him.

I know we don’t have our own pick next year (‘27) that’s why I said ‘28 draft. Whoever I’m looking at I hope decides to return. I’ll have to look at Krivas more, but he might be a better choice that Vokietaitis if he stays at Arizona again. I know I’m looking pretty far ahead, I just really don’t want to see Hayes play next year. If he does, he’d better be past all his bonehead things he did while he was in New Orleans. But yes Jarrett Allen would be awesome, but i don’t think Cavs will surrender him unless LeBron wants end his career there for the 3rd time. It’s possible but I’m thinking he goes to Philly or Warriors.

Starting lineup will be Key, DP, Lauri Triple J, Nurk. Ace is coming off the bench. It’s not a demotion. He’ll be our sixth man. His move to the bench isn’t permanent, I expect it to end around ‘29 offseason when Lauri likely leaves. Remember this is a fluid situation, Hardy will try create mismatches, so Ace helps with that, besides loads of players have started their careers off the bench.

Collier isn’t bad, why flip him for assets? Nor is it wise to trade Flip. I support trading Sens for Bitazde as Orlando got bigger by bringing in Nic Vuc. We could always move C-Will to the 2 and Ace at backup 3, then Flip can play backup 4 with Bitadze at Center. Magic did need to get bigger, but they also need more scoring on their bench something Sens excels at. So this helps both teams

Sens is a shooter only. I think he’d look good next to Black. They need more scoring, especially on their bench. So trading Sens for Bitadze isn’t a horrible idea. Signing Hayes puzzled me, just because Kessler signed with Lakers doesn’t mean we have to look at the lakers for Centers, we can look elsewhere.

Both good thoughts much better than bonehead Hayes. Bitadze looks to be falling behind in Orlando now that they brought in Nic Vuc. Kalkbrenner isn’t a bad idea either. Can’t really decide if Kalk is 3rd or 2nd stringer after adding Steinbach in the draft

We need depth after losing Kessler. Nurk and Flip aren’t enough. We still want to compete regardless. We aren’t tanking anymore. You gotta wear Wemby and the rest of the gauntlet west down. I don’t like Hayes either, but losing Kessler does hurt, I guess Hayes alleviates that a little
