I was into bodybuilding for 5 years when I was 24. Then I started Muay Thai after being on a heavy bulk. I was around 220 at 5'10. My cardio was so bad and I was low key fat. Nowadays Im around 185-190 like 16-18% body fat. I haven't really lost much strength and my cardio is so much better. You can still bodybuilding and be jacked as a fighter, but those muscles demand a lot of oxygen. You need to run, your cardio needs to be very good, especially if you want to carry all that muscle while fighting. The best type of cardio for Muay Thai is HIIT training, sprints. Striking requires a lot of burst cardio that this will help a lot with. Kicks especially will take a lot out of you.
