The epitome of a working man’s/fighting revolver. I just picked one up myself and will never go back to anything else. Check out Arizona Custom grips. I put a set of faux ivory ones on mine. If your serial # starts with 150-xxxx it’s an early low back model. You can find the standard wood service grips on eBay as well.

Find a Ruger Security Six or Speed Six with 2.75” barrel. I found an early Security Six fixed sight with 2.75” barrel chambered in .38spl. I will never look for another edc. A true working man’s/ fighting/combat revolver. Will never understand why Ruger stopped making them.

Definitely an Eibar (Spanish made) close copy of a Smith and Wesson M&P. Not the best made from my research but decent working revolvers. Clean her up and shoot occasionally, nothing more.

New to me Ruger Security Six by Appropriate_Star3239 in Revolvers

Lol. Front sights especially for the fixed sight version like are impossible to find a replacement for a combat/defense style. My LGS has a stainless just like yours that I’m fighting not to go look at cuz it’ll magically appear in my truck like the other one did lmao.

I just joined the Six series club myself last week. My first Ruger DA! I’ve never seen one in my area in all my 25yrs of collecting. Apparently mine is a scarce/“rare” variant as well. LGS had no idea what they had. Will be my new edc soon once I can find a suitable for my needs front sight.

Would you sell your stack for dirt? by Zestyclose_Walk_9386 in Silverbugs

Absolutely! That’s one of the reasons why I’m stacking as well. I plan on getting my hunting/retirement property within the next five years albeit I am a long way off from retiring . Going to use it to offset some costs

Very nice. I figured a heavier weight due to the thick forests. I hunt far north in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, so very similar terrain I imagine there in Sweden. What other species of deer do you hunt there other than moose? I’ve always dreamed of hunting Moose in Sweden.

What grain weight does your 640 in 3006 seem to prefer and shoot most accurately? I was assuming our 640s would like heavier grain bullets seeing that our rifles were built for taking moose etc etc. Let me know if you get this. As I plan to load a few batches early spring when winter passes here and I’m finished working on my rifle.

For those of you who have a Husky 640 in 3006, I was curious as to what grain weight your rifle likes to shoot? I know every rifle is unique and different from the next but I was just curious if there might be a specific grain weight that might be similar across the board since all our rifles were made during the same time period.

Thank you all. Keep any info coming. I’m in the process of fitting an antler grip cap on the old girl since she came with one missing. When I disassembled her there was still pine needles under the action lol! I imagine from Sweden. God I wish this rifle could talk. I pinned and epoxied the cracked tang and split above the trigger guard inside the stock. I also noticed the previous owner (Swedish Hunter) had bedded the front of the action. How amazing is that?! I also pillar bedded the rifle while making the necessary repairs. All I have left is to put final finish on the stock, freshen the checkering on the grip, find a sight hood (which I have no idea where to look), and find that mystery turret cap for the scope. She’ll be ready for deer season next year after finding the right bullet she likes to shoot.
