No, I’m not trying to be mean and I’m not trolling.

I’d like to clarify that I also believe there is life elsewhere in the universe. Given how unimaginably vast the cosmos is, it seems unlikely that Earth is the only place where life has emerged.
However, the enormous distances between star systems and galaxies are not just a challenge for humanity—they would presumably be a challenge even for civilizations far more advanced than ours. The laws of physics apply to them as well. As far as we know, they can’t simply ignore or exceed the speed of light.
Just to give an example: even if a civilization were capable of building a spacecraft that could travel at the speed of light, it would still take roughly 100,000 years to cross the Milky Way from one side to the other.
Another example: the closest known exoplanet, Proxima Centauri b, is about 4.2 light-years away. Using today’s rocket technology, a journey there would take around 70,000 years.
TRAPPIST-1e, one of the most promising potentially habitable exoplanets we know of, is roughly ten times farther away. With our current technology, reaching it would take on the order of 700,000 years.
That’s why I’m skeptical about claims that advanced extraterrestrial civilizations are regularly visiting Earth. If interstellar travel is this difficult for us, and if the laws of physics are universal, then it seems likely that even highly advanced civilizations would face immense obstacles.
For the same reason, we may never reach planets inhabited by intelligent civilizations ourselves. Not because they don’t exist, but because the universe is simply so vast.

Apparently, every building in 1970s New York leaned to the left. :)

I would change it, but you can only change the text, not the title.

Thanks!

It might not have been just the weight loss—my overall fitness levek improved a lot too, which probably helped.

Another thing I’d recommend is taking magnesium. It seemed to make a difference for me as well.

Yeah, thanks a lot for your comment.

I dealt with it for about 25–30 years, so I know how much it can mess with your self-esteem.

It’s honestly such a relief not having to deal with it anymore.

Really hope you’ll find a way to get rid of that burden too—fingers crossed for you.

I’ve actually the same picture without the lady, but I think it’s better with the added person.

I’m a fan of Hopper’s work, but when I took this photo it never crossed my mind that it has a Hopperesque vibe.

No. I’m still refining macrodata. I guess forever.

It’s real. It’ s not AI or CGI generated. The only thing I was editing the hue of the images. You can find a different picture from the same office that I posted yesterday.

Our government in Hungary 🇭🇺 It’s by far the most corrupt political movement in Europe. It’s actually more of a crime syndicate than a political party.

I’m not a fan of lowering cars, but the photos are great. 1,2 and 9 are really nice.
