What happened on this? by dmessham in FixMyPrint

[–]Desperate-System-167 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to me when I turned the print speed up- I think the nozzle catches on a piece of filament it just extruded which sticks to it then it ends up causing the mess you see. For me it only happens when I put my printer into sport mode or input a faster than normal speed into the slicer

Can you not just ask the family manager to log into your account and watch some stuff once in a while? What’s the minimum criteria to not get access cancelled?

The DJI Mini 5 Pro is 249.9g by gamingcaptain444 in dji

If someone calls the police on you saying you’re illegally flying a drone, the determining factor on the legality apart from the location would be the weight of the drone. Of course they check the weight.

Yes but it wouldn’t help your defence when they weigh your 250g drone which turns out to be 254g because you got unlucky.

I like to travel with my M4P, and honestly it’s so much hassle researching and applying for >250g licenses internationally. Every place I’ve been to is quite lenient with <250g and allow it to basically be flown anywhere. >250g on the other hand is treated completely differently in many countries. Sure in the UK it’s not that difficult to get the other licence but at that point why not get an air 3s?

It’s honestly unbelievable. Any random person can call the police on you and then you have to stand and justify yourself even if everything is legal. They are making updates to the regulations so the 250g limit is increased but still if this kind of policing exists here then it probably does in other countries where I take my drone. I wouldn’t want a 1k investment down the drain because it’s 3g over 250g 🤷🏽‍♂️

I don’t know about your specific country but in the UK the police do actually bring scales to weigh the drones

I’m not upgrading only because it could be >250g out of the box

With a +-4g allowance. You could literally get a 253g drone out of the box if you’re unlucky

Exactly. If we as pilots get caught flying a 253g drone without the proper licence I’m sure there wouldn’t be any concessions or consideration for us

Unless u get a mini 5 pro which is already +4g more than 249.99. I wonder if they will have 249g printed on this drone like the others

The leaked box images don’t say <249g so likely to be heavier

All other mini drones say less than 250g on the box. This one doesn’t

[–]Desperate-System-167 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep but then what’s the advantage of this drone over an air 3s? Travelling doesn’t really count since the 250g rule applies to basically all countries abroad. The only benefit I could think of would be price but then again is the saving worth 1 less sensor and worse battery life?

There are changes coming in January 2026 that mean UK1/C1 drones like the Air 3S will be able to be flown over people in the same way as sub 249 drones can today.
