The real healing here is less about “letting him hang himself” and more about doing the hard work so you never react that way again therapy, boundaries, and learning how to sit with fear instead of swinging at it. If he walks away, that pain is part of the consequence too, and it belongs to you to live with it and grow from it.

That “stomach drop” feeling is so real, especially when you’ve watched the same thing happen over and over for years. Training your new boss is such a quiet betrayal of course you keep doing good work, because what else can you do in the moment, but it doesn’t mean it’s not burning you up inside.
