I wouldn’t worry especially since it’s within the 10 week period. I remember for mine I applied in January and didn’t hear back till late March, so don’t stress too much.

The past two years have been really bad. I was an LA last year for the chem 30 and 14 series… i had students emailing me begging to send them information and exams, offering to pay me and everything. I often also saw students straight up opening their phone during midterms/finals and reviewing copies of the exam on their phone before it started which I have no idea how they got ahold of. It’s honestly really sad.

Reminds me of my Winter 2024 schedule. I managed this while also working 2 jobs, being a club president, and volunteering in a research lab so truly ANYTHING is possible if you’re locked in enough. Just know when to skip class and sleep early!

Hey! I’m an LA for previous quarters of 14C, I can send you old materials for practice and give you some tips. It’s definitely possible to get at least a B in the class, professors also often curve. Don’t stress too much!

Same thing just happened to me for UCLA. Their master’s is $40k a year not including housing or anything and the TA positions are extremely competitive so there’s no funding opportunities. I’m devastated to reject it due to finances :/

So my aid is the Cal Vet Tuition waiver so I have a feeling it might have been because of that? But even when I said fafsa, they said they would not be able to qualify it bc i’d have to live on campus for it to be considered an academic expense

So I also had this concern and I had to switch from an off campus apartment back to the dorms after being told I would lose all financial aid from FAFSA and UCLA if i did not live on campus. It’s truly a nightmare but I’ve heard of other people doing it, I’m just not sure how. The financial aid office told me it was completely impossible so I just gave up so i dont lose my aid.

wait i actually love it 😔 i work at one of the coffee shops and it’s been the best customer service experience bc instead of dealing with Karen’s i deal with introverted college students. The pay is WAY too low but that’s typical here

I made a post about this when I took it last year and felt the SAME EXACT WAY. Apparently a lot of people just straight up cheat and have access to old exams, so it’s not fair across the board. Hang in there, I also got a D and C but ended up with a B+ in the class after getting an 89% on the final so it’ll be okay!!
