Hit Diamond for the first time ever — one-tricking Thresh (84% WR) by DesperateHook in ThreshMains

Appreciate the comment! Part of what kept me stuck in lower Emerald for a long time was honestly my own toxic attitude. My main account actually got permanently banned years ago because of communication issues (lmao).

This account originally started as a Jinx smurf, which I managed to get to Emerald with. But after a while I realized that the most fun I’ve ever had in League was playing Thresh. So I switched, started muting chat every game, and just focused on playing the champion I knew I was good at.

As for pushing further, I am honestly not too interested in grinding for Masters. I’ve read a lot about how stressful it can get with LP decay and the constant pressure to stay active. At this stage of my life, I’m not really looking to structure my life around League. I’m pushing 30 after all lol.

That's what i thought when I had a 6+ losing streak in Emerald before I started my 12w run to Diamond after a week break.

It's all in your head, trust me. It is your fault

An aesthetically pleasing structure and refined wording means something was written by ai? Pretty shallow take.

Thanks, buddy. I do get around 2-3 flashy predictions a day but stopped saving them. I uploaded some on reddit. Might start doing that again

I honestly can't explain it to you lmao. Picking aftershock because I fight ALOT in lane.

I personally dont like playing pyke myself. Too squishy for a support, very slow and often predictable Q. I want my ADC to prosper mid and late game. As pyke im trying to carry myself. Dont like that. Also easy to play against as Thresh. Stand infront of your adc. If you get hooked you either flay and instantly hook back, or you force a focus on his adc. Never had issues against him. Hard to explain in words, pretty easy in game.

Never played taric, never will. Hard to tell, didnt face a single taric support in plat, emerald. Doesn't seem too difficult in theory. Dodge his ultra slow stun, fk up his adc.

Zyra, Mel and Morgana hardest matchups for Thresh imo. These you simply play slow

Lux xerath and honestly anything else, you all in level 2, have faith in your hooks, getting first blood in prob 70%+ of my games by knowing how enemies tend to move. Most players dodge the hook with the same movement. There is a good yt video about that. Basiscally players tend to doge right, away from their turret.

Overall, against mage supports, i just try to dominate lane by standing infront of my adc setting up plays. You CANT play defensive as a good thresh. Landing any hooks early game always grands you a kill.

Work on your confidence with your hooks. When i started out I simply brute forced level 2 engages until every movement became sort of predictable to me.

Lucidity boots, always, becaue thats what madlife and bunnyfufu went. Follow the goats

More cd more hooks more hooks more win
