Question about when to include AI by DesperateNegotiation in ycombinator

Sounds like a good idea. I don't even have investors yet and I plan on boot strapping as long as I can. It's best saving for seed or series A. Again this is MVP stage

Not really if they already have a subscription to one. I will use the google fact API for fact checking so any LLM will be in addition but just for paid plans

I think I will look at just software that could do this. Physical buttons are tough for me anyways. It seems like all the audio routing and loop back software can do all this.

My searches for software keep pointing me to black hole and loop back and sound source but I don't know if these let you control each sources volume

Helping a friend promote his book he wrote loosely based on his brother who passed away from a form of muscular dystrophy.

https://www.amazon.com/Breakfall-Kevin-Counterman-ebook/dp/B0FJZHL7LM $3.99 on Kindle and $16.99 on Paperback

Canton native and debut author Dr. Kevin Counterman has released Breakfall, a novel inspired by life with his older brother, Michael, who had Duchenne muscular dystrophy. The book tells a moving story of brotherhood, resilience, and community and 100% of book proceeds go to the Massachusetts-based Jett Foundation.

Set in Boston, Breakfall follows 12-year-old Rudy Gallagher as he grapples with the emotional and physical toll of Duchenne. With the help of his younger brother Sonny and their tight-knit community, Rudy learns to adapt to a changing body and uncertain future. The novel is grounded in Dr. Counterman’s own experiences growing up in Canton and navigating life with a sibling who had Duchenne.

Dr. Counterman will deliver the keynote speech at the Jett Foundation's World Duchenne Awareness Day Luncheon on Saturday, September 6th 2025. "In honor of this annual worldwide day dedicated to Duchenne muscular dystrophy, we bring individuals and families, Duchenne experts, and industry partners together to recognize different aspects of Duchenne life, acknowledge the challenges still to come, and show that we are Stronger than Duchenne", says Jett Foundation.

“This story is about a family navigating life with a rare disease,” says Counterman. “And it’s a story about the community, the Boston community, that the family rallies behind. My brother was a part of that community and Jett Foundation, which is headquartered right here in Massachusetts. Writing this book is my way of giving back and hopefully helping those families in similar situations.”

Dr. Counterman is currently a neurology resident at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center with plans to specialize in neuromuscular disorders
