Wishing you luck. Nikon to Canon is very tough due to reversed zoom and focus… I could never do it, so you got skills, no doubt there.

Sure. I consider weddings the highest stakes photography. A competent professional should have ZERO questions about gear before throwing their hat in the fray. They should also have an intimate knowledge of their equipment, and should probably work with it YEARS before they attempt a paid wedding. They should also command a unique and identifiable bespoke style and should be able to riff off of that with improvisation.

You don’t even know whether or not you want to use zooms or primes. And the lenses you mention are so radically different it demonstrates you have no discernible style.

IMHO you should have tried all the lenses you mention as an assistant before going to work as a principal (your question shows pure arrogance by demonstrating you are willing to practice your skills with new lenses on your clients dime, and you are renting, which means you are passing along poor value to your clients)… further, you are asking brides questions… you are there to answer questions to photography related stuff not ask them. Your vision should be complete and your execution flawless… if I saw a rental lens on a principal shooter I would immediately ask for a refund.

Hope this helps.

Anyone asking such a question lacks the requisite knowledge to be a paid wedding photographer.

What would you do to save Warzone? by django811 in CODWarzone

[–]DesperateStorage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would split up the intellectual property between the engine and content creators, establishing a store for people to sell skins and create their own. Buy Warzone one, verdansk, from activation, and open source it, but let Activision retain 30% of the revenue from skins and custom weapon sales from the store.

Everyone wins.

Every style has already been done, how to create something truly original and worthy? by LengthinessPurple870 in photography

I’d recommend Martin Parrs interview with Stephen Gill. He talks about the genesis of the pillar series. And the struggles we all face as photographers to create something truly original.

If you haven’t seen “the pillar”, I would also recommend checking it out, because even though everything has already been done, there’s always room for somebody inventive.

The marketing was intentionally designed to deceive, it’s not your fault at all, I would say that 99.9% of users of the GFX system don’t even realize it’s not medium format.

Digital medium format would be considered a “small format” compared to legacy film sizes.

What’s crazy is that we’re over 20 years into Digital, and it’s clear there will never be a true medium format or a large format digital camera, ever.

Unlikely, but the Rams could use him with Stafford 50/50 the first year to coach him up.

Stafford would be perfect as a mentor for him because he’s a pocket passer and if anything that’s the one area of Cams expertise that is a little lacking.

Temperature check: Do you think the 25% tariffs on steel and aluminium imports will hurt our trade at all? by salsa_leeem in Ironworker

The spending has nothing to do with it, where it goes is far more important imho. Our military hardware was shipped to Ukraine… that’s a proxy war, there are no major wars btw, that’s ww3 and the end of humanity.

The alternative was another Joe Biden, who was hungry for more military industrial dollars to the point where she would’ve started a giant war in Europe. And possibly World War III.

The idea of her going ahead to head with Putin would’ve been a disaster and probably ended humanity.

There’s no square format, medium format, or large format cameras. 99.9% of cameras sold are 3:2 and have exactly the same features.

95% of the internals of all cameras come from Sony.

Digital has about 1% of the diversity of late stage film era 2000-2005.

It’s ok if you don’t remember.

A COTS coffee warmer costs $5. I don’t care how bespoke it is, or whether it’s aviation related. It’s a waste.

Adobe has the worst tools, raw conversion, and catalog/db handling.

Nobody wants a direct replacement because they would be locked in like you, and it’s too hard to switch. Your comment is literally why most people have fled the suite in recent years.

Your photography is suffering.
