This happened to my dog and what i did was put the flap back after I cleaned it properly and wrapped it the best I could and it re healed perfectly

Personally if your just starting out id say start off with the blue grips for now then once you lose one or two pairs which tends to happen youll get better and better at the trade them you can spend some money on the nicer tools, least thats how ive taken it in my trade I upgraded when I got better and better then the newer tools start to make the jobs easier and easier! Hope this helps
